While it would work, I'm not convinced that it would be as effective as a BlitzBall is heavier and made of harder plastic, which is why it is heavier. A wiffle ball bat has a thinner barrel and is typically shorter (compared to a blitzball bat). This has been confirmed to me after I recently purchased both. In any case, it was a pleasure to play again. You'll enjoy it!

There is no doubt that this set of bats and balls is of high quality. In fact, it is plastic, but it is a thicker kind that is heavier. This summer, our kindergarten grandson told us he needed more bats, so he could choose different kinds like real baseball players, as well as for them to be different shapes and sizes. Our grandchildren were so good that we bought them some bats and balsam. He immediately chose this set as his favorite, stating that he can hit the ball further with it and he is a better ball player with it. A gift for my 8 year old grandson for his birthday. My daughter suggested it. My initial reaction to it was to not be impressed, because it seemed like not that much of a gift.
