Tball is not an option for someone who is 35lbs and has to wear a cup. This time I bought an Xsmall to match his waist size. The pants are still rather large. Although his waist isn't tight, his shorts go all the way to his ankles. Cup is good size, but the cup pocket in the shorts is awkwardly shaped, and the cup tends to move around. It is also important to note that if your child is a boxer kid, it will be more difficult to wear undies.
These pants are a hit with my son, who frequently complains about itchy seams in slide pants. The fit is great, the seams are soft, and the colors are bright The materials are holding up well. The next time I purchase it, I will buy.
