The quality was poor and the glue was inferior. I think this version is better than the metal versions I have It is possible for a ball to get stuck in the openings around the eyes on the metal masks or even come close enough to strike One of the eyes has a smaller opening than the other. Although my daughter says the pads are comfortable, they become sticky and uncomfortable when she gets hot. No matter what mask she wears, I think the same will apply. It is a little awkward to have the chin pad on the chin pad I have it stuck to my shirt with Velcro, but I am concerned it may fall off during play. We'll see how it works out. Here's an update It took just a couple of practices and one game for the lining on the padding to separate on the top of the padding and the velcro on the chin pad to come If the mask isn't paired with the chin pad, it's completely useless. I scarcely used this mask and it was never abused. Although the liner is peeling, the rest of the face still looks new. Another child on my daughter's softball team who had the second mask experienced the same issue as me.

In the summer of 2010, I broke my son's nose by catching it with my hand. It would have been devastating not to be able to play the rest of the season. After his surgery, our doctor gave us the green light to play with this mask. I was glad to see that it worked well. The first time he used it, he didn't want to, but he did and he became used to using At the time, he was 7 years old and this saved his life. Other brands were either too big or too uncomfortable for me. If you are looking for an inexpensive fielding mask for your child, this is a good one. Most basketball players use these to see through when their nose is broken, but they're very expensive. I recommend this to a child who needs/wants one of these.

A line drive hit my 12-year-old daughter square in the face in the game I was watching. I don't just believe she survived, I think she ended up striking out the next batter and then getting the next batter out at first with another ball that hit her right in the face. It took her a while to get back on her feet. Her face and mask were not damaged, but she was so hard hit she fell to the ground. I find this stuff scary. It is a great safety product from Sklz. If she had been wearing a metal mask, I believe she would have been seriously injured. Thank you for your product. I am glad I purchased it. As a parent, I believe this to be the best thing I have ever done.

The price for this mask online was at least 1/2 of what I was seeing in stores, so I decided to order it. My daughter is 8 years old and I ordered this product in the Youth S/M size. I was expecting a fight about putting on the mask, but my daughter actually enjoyed wearing it. Although the metal mask is less bulky looking, it is heavier, and at least twice the price. In her words, she said it was comfortable, it fits her well and she never had a problem wearing Even though we have only used it for one season so far, we are satisfied with the quality of the product and would definitely order it.

The only problem I had was adjusting the straps, but it was a problem of my own and not an issue with I have been pleased with this purchase. A suggestion that I could give is for the manufacturer to place a place for the item's name or marking. The masks worn by the girls on her team are similar and it is difficult to tell them apart. With dirt and sweat, the tape wears off.

In practice, we noticed that our 11yr old daughter (1st base) was wearing the mask and some of the 6th graders and other teammates took it in jest, saying anyone who wears a mask is scared of the ball and feels safer in the In practice the week after, two girls took grounders to the face on the same day. Practice had to be stopped, moms rushed outside to assess the situation, girls were crying, one was bleeding, etc. In the following week, there were three girls who practiced wearing the masks. I heard from my daughter that the mask works well and helps her to dive for an overthrown ball more confidently. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because we couldn't find a ball cap or visor for her to wear At least for now, it seems to me that she is okay with that.

These are the soccer balls I bought for my daughters. My girls appear to have forgotten that they were wearing face masks after the first 5 minutes. Running with them is not uncomfortable because they are lightweight and do not bounce around their faces. Their braces required them to buy these items in order to protect their teeth. have already experienced one incident where an implant was hit and moved and we don't want to experience any more.

I bought this shield for my daughter to play However, the straps weren't allowing me to adjust correctly so I wouldn't have given it a five-star review. In spite of readingjusting the straps a few times, it seems to be working for me now. It is important to design the item with snap-on straps so you have the ability to adjust the straps more easily.
