Selected User Reviews For Rawlings Youth Helmet Tball Wire Face Guard (BBYWG)
The league regulations required that the kiddo wearing a baseball helmet have a face guard attached to it. The Rawlings website did not list his helmet part number directly on their website - I looked up his helmet part number online to see if it had an exact match - The CFTBH - There are a bunch of other websites that indicate this helmet is related to (or the same as) the RCFTB helmet, which named this BBYWG face guard as being compatible with it. A matte black finish makes the face guard extremely glare-resistant on sunny days. It feels really sturdy and smooth, and has a matte black finish. There is just a little care that needs to be taken during installation. While the screws that came with the face guard fit the machined holes on the helmet perfectly, I can imagine it would be easy for the screws to be forced into the holes at a bad angle, so I wouldn't recommend that. There is not much wiggle room for the screw in any of the holes in the face guard, so the diameter of the screw is pretty close to the holes. The screws should be tested in the holes without the face guard, just to ensure the angle of the screw is correct. You might want to play around with the angle of the screw while installing the face guard so the screw does not go in with a lot of In order to improve the position of the helmet screw holes, I found it helpful to apply some pressure from inside the helmet on the ear flaps. Before tightening all the screws, make sure they are in the correct alignment in the helmet.
This model is compatible with After reading reviews, I was worried, but I noticed on the instructions it says "DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. ". You can use a Philips screwdriver to make it snug, but don't overdo it or you'll end up like a lot of people who were upset about it. The pack also came with a chin strap that I wasn't expecting, so all in all it was a nice pack.
It does fit our helmet, I am happy to report. One of the issues I have with this mask is that it rises quite high, as you can see in someone else's review picture. To be able to see properly, the brim of the helmet needs to be worn low on the forehead, otherwise your vision will be blocked and I let my child use the older elastic band strap that came with this unit instead of the one that came with the new one since the chin strap was not elastic. This bag looks good from the outside, has a lightweight feel, and my kid likes it.
However, the TSA has a number of limitations As a result, a nut inside the helmet came unglued, and I couldn't remove the screw as the T-nut was damaged During the spin, the helmet would spin around the nut. In order to remove the screw, I had to carefully unglue a portion of the earpad to gain access to it This is nuts. With needle nose pliers, I was able to stop it spinning, and then with the screwdriver, I was able to unscrew it. A brand new helmet has put me to the test, and I'm not happy about it!.
I found this face guard to be the perfect fit for my son's helmet. Initially, I was worried about buying a batting helmet and face guard online since they might not fit, but we didn't have any issues. I also bought one Rawlings helmet on Amazon, and it fit just fine. In addition to adding his name to the back of the helmet, he could not be more pleased with it and cannot wait to wear it tomorrow at practice.
It is six and a half inches long. While at the store, I tried to find a face mask that fits the teeball helmet, but it was not available. I found exactly what I was looking for in this face mask. A very easy assembly is required. Each side is secured with 2 Phillips screws, and there is a chin strap as well.
I was able to install this stall without any hassle thanks to the included hardware and instructions. The ball has now been thrown to my daughter. Five hundred dollars! (This isn't really the case. But she doesn't mind getting hit in the face as much as she used to.
