Due to the fact that I play different positions in softball as a senior, I don't always need a mask at all times. Therefore, I looked for a mask that wasn't too expensive, since I don't need it all the time, but one that was comfortable and offered good protection at the same time. The mask is exactly what I was looking for. The only recommendation is if you have a big head and six feet, you may need a bigger mask because this one fits me well. She is very active and I ordered this to protect her face during those activities. Her metal guard provides protection, but doesn't block her view of the ball. The straps and padding are easily adjusted and the padding is velcro so it's easy to position. If you play softball, I definitely recommend this!.

She says it is very lightweight, comfortable, and won't block her vision in the least. It's just the right size for her since she has a normal-sized head, thin face, and a thin build, so she fits into an adult size. There are only a couple of spots where the paint is chipping off, which is why I did not give it 5 stars. After a year of wear, not having a sweatband is not a major problem.
