Used the M10 last year with no issues
Don't feel the elite X is as good as the M10. There were too many straps on the helmet. A new generation of leg guards is bigger than ever The pads on the helmets will absorb sweat, which is an issue when multiple players wear it during a day. Putting on a helmet with a pad that has someone else's sweat on it is unpleasant and I would not buy this kit for a team. I wanted to try them on before ordering.
Fortunately I was able to go and buy a third set of M10s.

The shin guards look bulky, but they are not stiff. The chest guard has a hard part in the middle that provides extra protection. I love the look of the helmet and it shin guards don't break in quite as well as some other types of athletic clothing. Despite being not the cheapest set out there, you get quality with this set. There are a lot of moveable pads that make it very comfortable and protective.

Despite Easton claiming that they back their products, it is hard to reach anyone at customer support (probably because their products are always broken). It is evident that the quality of their product has declined over time. The fact that it is Easton brand made me feel at ease about making the purchase. Never have I been so wrong. You shouldn't even be selling this product, Amazon. I will update everyone if I ever get through to Easton and can tell them what they think. The customer service at this brand is not as good as I would like. My bad. Oh yeah, I probably should go ahead and tell everybody what messed up. Without even taking a direct blow, the piece that protects the sternum broke with regular use. This chest protector seems very safe to me, yet I would hate to find out how secure it is for my child.

It was only the matching of colors that led me to pay the premium. It is to be expected that the legs guards were totally scratched up after the first game. I am glad I bought this set, although you can probably find something like it for less money.

I purchased two sets on Amazon Warehouse at a very low price. I am very pleased with this item. The catcher of each baseball team now has his or her own set for 10 year olds. I may not have chosen the perfect color, but I think it works perfectly.

It was necessary to get a new set of catcher's gear (intermediate) for my middle school baseball team, so I went with this set. It is too bulky for middle school kids. The chest protector works for small kids. However, it will not fit anyone close to "man size. " So, if you have an average size kid (not man size), the leg guards are too large and the The set is still of good quality except for that big problem.

It was a perfect fit with plenty of room to grow, as we ordered the intermediate size. Chest protectors with a lot of padding and easily adjustable straps are highly recommended. The catcher's set is very nice.
