A 14 year old would be able to wear it without issue. Because my son is 11 years old, the 6 inch guard is longer than he needs right now.

We used this throat protector during our weekend tournament and it worked great! During our first tournament game, none of us had a throat guard due to the fact that we were a new team and the equipment was all brand new. In most cases, tournament organizers require it. It was quite simple to attach and there were no problems! Moving forward, it will be a permanent piece of safety equipment.
We have a team of 9 employees Suitable for big kids, these tee shirts are perfect for ten year olds. There are no issues to report. That is why I highly recommend Wilson brand protectors. It seems like this brand works well, as other throat protectors have been reported as difficult to attach in reviews. There are also some with strings, like shoes laces, and zip ties had to be used! The throat guard from this brand will not cause you any problems. You can see three photos of it being used by our 9 1/2-year-old catcher if this is useful to you.
