Yes - I don't believe they make cleats in a size 1 for babies.
They were a hit with my 11-year-old (who has wide feet), but they only lasted about ten games. However, if your son's feet aren't particularly wide, these will be too wide for him.
Cleats, at least in our experience, tend to be smaller. We bought three or four pairs of cleats as well as turf shoes. If you want to order from Amazon, you should first get sized at a sporting goods store, then try some on for comfort. br>We only buy New Balance baseball shoes because they are comfortable. Amazon is where we get almost all of our New Balance shoes.

1) my 10- year old has achilles tendonitis as a result of an injury and requires supportive footwear, and 2) he wears NB size 5 shoes. 5, to school, so I felt confident ordering another pair of NBs in the same size without trying them on first. br>br>In terms of 1), they appear to be well-made and durable, which is exactly what we've come to expect from NB. There aren't any issues. br>br>The issue is 2), as these only seem to fit about half-way. Surprisingly, my son wears a size large. We decided not to return them because a second pair of socks seemed to solve the problem for us, and he was already growing like a weed, but I was surprised. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've never seen anything like this before. I ordered these and within two weeks, one of the rear heel cleats on my son s left shoe (his landing foot, as he is a righty and pitches) broke off He's only about 4'10" tall and weighs 85 pounds. As a result, this was strange. I exchanged the shoes for a new pair, assuming it was just a fluke and/or a bad production run with low-quality plastic/rubber. (Amazon, as expected, handled the situation admirably. ) )br>br>The second pair has been with us for about the same amount of time. The exact same cleat has broken off on the exact same foot yet again. Perhaps my son's throws land funny (which I've never noticed while watching him), but I've never had this problem with another pair of baseball shoes, and I'm surprised that a well-known brand like New Balance is having trouble producing cleats that can withstand the rigors of a 10-year-old game. For more than a week or two, a year-old little leaguer's wear and tear br>br>I still like the foot support, but baseball cleats need to be a little more durable. br>br>Update number two: We've been wearing the second pair for three weeks now (after I decided to ignore the one broken cleat), and no fewer than four cleats have broken off on the two shoes (see photos). Let me be clear: this is from regular use by a kid who isn't particularly muscular and weighs around 100 pounds. You have to outperform this New Balance. br>br>I've gotten a refund on them.
When it comes to quality, Over the years, we've always liked how New Balance shoes/cleats fit. Naturally, we decided to purchase a pair for our son's first season of kid pitch baseball. Unfortunately, one of the cleats on the heel broke off after only three innings of what can only be described as light use. The build quality was extremely disappointing. We have very strict rules about where cleats can be worn, so seeing this break off came as a bit of a shock.
Our 12u travel team participates in 70 youth games per year. My son goes through cleats every four months or so, simply because of the amount of ball we play. If he didn't grow, they'd last three seasons in regular ball. We now only buy New Balance for baseball because they fit great, aren't too heavy, and last longer than we expected. We'll play three games in a day at times in a tournament, and he's never complained about his feet hurting from the New Balance products.
I was concerned that they would be too small because most New Balance sneakers run small, but the cleats appear to fit true to size.
He's worn them about four times for practice as of today, 4/24, and they're falling apart! 4- Five of the spikes have broken off, and the bottom coating is peeling away. When I went to my Amazon account to message the seller about an exchange, it said the return window had closed on the 24th of March. There's no way to contact the seller, at least not that I could find, so he'll have to go out and buy a new pair when we've been waiting to use these. I understand that there is a time limit on when used items can be returned, but we bought these ahead of time for a special occasion and they are clearly defective or poorly made.
He complained of "walking on pencils" feeling. Great for muddy conditions or deep/soft turf. These, on the other hand, are ankle breakers on a dry field. Keep in mind that the child wearing these is between the ages of 40 and 50. 60lbs. They aren't exactly burying themselves in the grass while playing.
We bought these cleats from Amazon on August 22nd, and my son has only had them for a month, and they are already worn out. Because he is playing in the off-season, he only practices once a week (4 times), has one Saturday game (2 games), and has only played one Sunday tournament (3 games). In between games, he swaps to slides. br>br>Because he has a wide foot, it fits perfectly. I wish the shoe was of higher quality; I don't want to have to buy new cleats every two months.
These shoes are extremely popular among my sons. Everyone on his team seemed to be curious as to how he acquired them. They look great, and my son claims they feel great and are very comfortable to run in. In addition, it is extremely long-lasting. We've previously purchased Nike cleats, but they didn't seem to last very long. These appear to be in good condition. My son participates in fallball, travel, and spring sports, so he puts his shoes through a lot of wear and tear.
