The item was bought for a beginner ages 9 and up Having said that, I cannot honestly vouch for whether the program would work with an advanced player, so I am sorry that I could not be more helpful.

This set was purchased to teach my son how to bat better at home since he has been doing so well with just hitting off the T that many of his balls have been lost over the fence to our neighbor.
Setting up the net is very easy, it can be done with one person, though I noticed it easier for my husband and I to hook the top of the net than my husband who is 6'2 and I am 5'2. Additionally, my son got three heavier balls for practice, which I thought was a nice touch, but he still preferred the regular balls most of the time. In southern California the sun can be very hard on outdoor gear, so I keep the net inside when it is not being used. It is not that it is a bad product, but it is easy to store up as a net if it is out on display. I am very satisfied with my purchase, and since I can set up the net for my son and have him practice for around 30 minutes, I am looking forward to using it. It took him 45 minutes to do it alone.
I was a little hesitant to order because of the mixed reviews, but glad I did, this setup is great! It comes with very clear pictures and written instructions, and can be put together very easily. I love it and as you can see by the photo, it is the perfect accessory for a garage session when it is raining. In order to secure the rubber, I put a lot of electrical tape around it, starting at the metal union. There has never been a drop off of the rubber attachment! The thing is, I know I don't have to do that step, but as well as helping the rubber cone to stay on, it should also increase its longevity. For an 11-year-old, one thing I don't like is that you cannot adjust it to fit behind the knees. Approximately the waist of the kid is where the lowest setting for the tee is located. There is more I've been looking for a batting net for a while, and until I came across this product, I couldn't find one. Now I can teach my child how to bat and throw balls with this batting net. For example, even I can use this product as a batting exercise. The product is also attached to a caddy and three weight training balls so that it can also be used as a throwing exercise. This book is great because of its price point and I love how well the net works! The only complaint about the ball carrier is that it had ripped when I opened it, so we can't use it for holding balls right away until we fix I am kind of bummed by this.
After using everything for a summer, we will have to see how it wears. But all in all, it appears to be of good quality. Initially I was a bit disappointed by the original shipping date (I am spoiled by free next day delivery), but since it shipped ahead of schedule I can't complain.
