How long is the distance between the rubber and the far edge?

The distance between the rubber's front and far edge is 40 inches.

Is it possible to wear cleats?

Cleats are a no-no in my opinion. They won't be able to penetrate the turf-covered fiberglass, and their footing will be less stable. On this mound, my son wears his New Balance Baseball Turf Shoes, which he loves.

Is there any reason why this mound couldn't be placed on a turf field?

This mound has only been used on dirt in my experience. However, I've sold a lot of them to turfed indoor facilities, and they're very happy with them.

What is the total weight of everything? We would need to remove it at the end of the day if we were to use school fields. Is the fact that I'm overweight going to be a problem?
