I returned to my order to double-check it. Yes, you are correct. I ordered a left-handed glove to go under my son's catcher's mitt, but the picture shows a right-handed glove. glove on the right hand My recommendation is to base your decision on the description rather than the image. I placed an order for the left-hand side. I ordered a left-handed glove (despite the photo), and that's exactly what I got. I hope this information is useful.
As far as I can tell, there aren't that many stores that still carry them, making it difficult to try one on for size, which is by far the most accurate method of sizing. However, I've owned a few of these over the years, and the fit is very similar to that of most batting gloves.
Yes, adult sizes are available, and the glove is fantastic!

To be clear, you will only receive ONE GLOVE, not two. Following a tendon tear and a broken bone (volar pip dislocation), we purchased a glove on the PT's recommendation. Nothing is 100% but this comes close to protecting during softball or fastpitch. This is the glove that goes inside the catching mitt. During the player's recovery, however, we purchased the opposing side so that he could rejoin the game. It aided in the player's return to normalcy during the healing process. Don't put this on and think you'll be able to play if you're injured. We had months of protocol-based PT. Make wise decisions, people. It's for a reason that you've been given a brain.
I'm not pleased with myself. I ordered a glove for my son based on the description and received the wrong hand! It also arrived a day later than expected. The quality is good, but we can't take it off the packaging because it's for the wrong hand. I'm hoping I get the right one this time because he desperately needs the glove. The replacement won't arrive until Saturday, six days after the first one was supposed to arrive.
My 13-year-old daughter, who plays catcher for a fastpitch travel softball team, received this as a gift. When she moved up to 14u, she discovered that the pitches were much faster, making catching a little more difficult. She now wears this glove under her catcher's glove to help with the pain, but it isn't a full-fledged pain-relieving device. proof. We may need to buy a new catcher's glove to go with this inner glove because her catcher's glove is 2 1/2 years old and has seen a lot of action. That SHOULD solve the problem! When she's playing Right-Handed, she's also used this inner glove. She claims it works well in the field. Overall, I believe it is operating as it should.
I've bought this product a half-dozen times because I can't seem to find anything more comfortable that does the job, but the glove always separates where the spandex wrist material and the leather meet on the palm side. I get about three months' worth of use out of them when I play them a couple of times a week. So, what are you talking about, 26 days of actual use? That may sound reasonable to most people, but I've always been a light user of batting gloves and other similar items, and they last me a long time because my hands aren't particularly thick. I'm not going to stretch the glove. The glove's manufacturer needs to reinforce that area.
I need protection for the area inside my index finger that runs all the way down to my palm because of a childhood scar. This Palmgard has proven to be effective. I've bought a lot of them in the past, and they've all ripped at the seam on the inside of the wrist where it connects to the leather palm. This one has a wrist guard and is not affected by the same issue. It outperforms the original design by a long shot.
It's a great way to customize a fielder's glove and add a layer of protection for hot line drives or throws. br>br>THE ORIGINAL REVIEW HAS BEEN UPDATED: I'VE BEEN USING THESE GLOVES FOR YEARS, BUT THE MOST RECENT ONE HAS LOST THE DYE (BLACK) AS THE WEATHER HAS GOTTEN HOTTER AND SWEATIER. MY HAND IS NOW BLACK AFTER EACH GAME. TO SAY THE LEAST, I AM NOT HAPPY. MAYBE IT WAS A BAD DYE LOT, BUT I'LL LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A REPLACEMENT, AS THE GLOVE IS STILL LIKE NEW BUT UNUSABLE.
To see if it would fit, my son had to put it on his right hand. We ordered it twice for the left hand, but each time they sent the wrong hand; if we could get the right hand, my son said he would definitely wear it to give that glove more cushion.
I've been wearing palm guards for a long time. It's soft and comfortable, and it definitely helps to soften the blow of repeated catches. It's long-lasting and can last several seasons if properly cared for. This is the only padded glove you'll ever need; don't bother with the small pads that go inside your glove.
