I thought it would be too heavy but it is great. During every game, my 8-year-old son uses it before they bat, and all of their teammates do too. Although it is heavier than an average 8-year-old doll, it may still be too heavy for them. The product has maintained its high quality throughout the season, so I cannot complain about it.
The weights in this family of bat weights are color coded according to weight. Approximately 4 ounces of the navy color are available. The product works as designed on 2 5/8" bat barrels (but may not work well on thinner sizes).
The color yellow. In order to give my son a weight that looks like yellow, I purchased this weight This ball is. A small amount of extra weight is just what you need to get warmed Taking the cap off gives him much more power in his swing. If anyone wants to improve their child's swing through the ball, I recommend this to them.
When the next batter is on deck, the warmup swings are to be used. I let him take it off before he steps up to the plate so he can increase his power and speed. It takes him a lot longer to swing. Worked just fine for me.
It was lighter than I expected (I should have read the details) but it was what my son needed.
The picture shows exactly what is shown.
There seemed to be no difference in size between colored bats, regardless of their size. There was no doubt that this was the case based on the pictures. The situation was not like that. I chose the navy one simply because it was the cheapest. It turns out that color corresponds to 4 oz. is the weight of navy. My life is totally wasted on that, which is totally useless. A quick weigh of the packaging and bat weight shows that the bat weighs more. To avoid disappointment, the navy is 4 oz, the Kelly is 8 oz, the orange is 12 oz, the scarlet is 16 oz, the yellow is 20 oz, and the royal is 28 oz.
It was not clear that the color of the ring determined its weight until I received mine. The blue one, 4 ounces, came in the mail. For me, those things are totally useless. For an 8-year-old, I'm not sure if it's of any use to her.
My mistake for not reading the fine print, I'll use it as a tote bag.
