Three and a quarter inches round is the outside diameter. It seems from my experience that the rubbery exterior tears on the edges exposing the metal inside. When I try to glue it, it doesn't work very well. I think I am on my third or fourth one. The weight of the bat is something I'm considering changing.

Its outer plastic cover breaks down and comes off, which can cause it to fall off. A dangerous situation. Is just not enough to last. I don't think it's worth the price.
