It is not necessary to wear underwear.
42 inches tall and 35 pounds in weight, my grandson is 42 inches tall and 35 pounds. Possibly he can still fit that size? Last year, he wore a Medium? Therefore, I would suggest a Medium for you as well on account of your 33 lb weight. We liked it a lot and wish you the best of luck!
We purchased ours last year and were very pleased with it!
As opposed to swim trunks with integrated underwear, this rash guard is super soft and does not have It hasn't caused any problems with my kids who don't wear underwear with it at the moment.

Despite the size of my head, I bought two of these, one in pink and one in blue. (5 stars) The pink one was fine. I chose it because the entire item was made of neoprene (except the sleeves) and fitted my small 3 year old very well. I was disappointed with the blue one because it only had neoprene on the front and back, not on the sides or sleeves, so it was not very good Also, the sizing was a little large for my almost 6-year-old, but I expected that as the shirt was rated for 6-12 year-olds The neoprene would have been much more effective if it had been wrapped all around his stomach and torso. I suppose this is because of the difference between the blue and pink styles, but it is also probably a size thing.
In spite of living in the tropics, my son has an indoor pool with a cool temperature, since it doesn't get direct sunlight so he generally only needs to swim 30 minutes or so before he begins to turn Prior to this, I used another brand made of neoprene (speedo and Decathlon) but my son would chafe in his neck and arms because the material was stiff. He was so hurt after swimming longer due to chafing in the arms and neck even though he could swim longer. These are stretchy panels down the sides and around the collar that keep the cold out while still providing the same warmth. Additionally, I like the fact that he uses far less chemicals in his sunscreen. One short sleeve and one long sleeve, plus the one we wear at the beach to help protect his arms, are all I got to keep him warm. This is what I got when I ordered the Medium size, then when I ordered the L size, I received 1 short sleeve and 1 long sleeve. You should definitely try it!.
I ordered one for my 7-year-old daughter, one for my 4-year-old son, and one for my 3-year-old My size was determined by using the size chart and choosing the size that was recommended for their age. That perfect fit is perfect! I have attached a picture to this review so you can see it.
The smallest of my three children is four years old. Thus far, it has been a great experience. The height and weight of my son are 4 years old and 43 inches tall. It was the size Large we ordered. He fits into it well and has plenty of room to grow into it. He should be able to live on it through the summer (March is still a long time away). The quality was fair and the price was reasonable. The pants fit the body really well, and they do not restrict movement in any way. A good job of finishing the seams is displayed. The Cressi kids series originates from Cressi Sub, one of the leading makers of diving equipment.
Although it has been in a chlorinated pool for months, it smells bad still. The mesh panels on the side are also rather loose on my three year old, and I can't tell if I could keep her warm with this item. The material is thin, so don't expect it to affect your ability to swim.
The goal of purchasing these was to keep my kids warm while taking swim lessons in the winter. There are other children who have turned blue and shivered. They are shivering somewhat but seem more comfortable than most. I like that the neoprene is only in the middle, but the arms and sides are regular bathing suits so it feels more like a bathing suit to them and is more flexible For both kids, I used the size chart and the sizes fit well.
We had a great suit from LL Bean for my son last year, but he grew out of it this year and they didn't make a larger size. So we were on the lookout for a replacement, and I ended up finding this one, which I love. As the dark blue part of the fabric is thicker, it looks like wet suit material, while the light blue part looks like bathing suit material. Because it is only used for lessons at the pool and for days at the lake, it is slightly more durable, but it does not feel like a really full wet suit. The shirt has been worn a lot so far this year, and it is holding up well! I'm glad!.
I am happy with my My four year old has a good fit and there is a few inches of This snorkel set matches his Cressi snorkel set so he was quite happy There is only one complaint I would have, and that is that the light blue parts are actually a material called spandex, not neoprene, which does not make them effective insulators. The only thing I wish about it is that it was all neoprene so he was warmer in cool water, but it doesn't hurt to have something! We have extended our swim season in the above ground pool due to the chilly temperatures.
