I don't believe it will work. For my 9-year-old, it was too small. It was ideal for my 6-year-old son and his 7-year-old cousin. This is what I bought for my 9-year-old daughter: Speedo Futura Biofuse Swim Goggle for Juniors.
It's for my 3-year-old son, so I got it for him. I bought a different pair for my 11-year-old because I was afraid they wouldn't fit, but I'm glad I didn't! They're more suited to a small child.
They're regarded as a good place to begin. These are appropriate for children aged four to six years old. However, the structure of children's faces may differ. We've seen children as young as three or seven use them.
I bought it for my 4-year-old son, who has an average-sized face (36 lbs), and it's way too small. It's suitable for children aged 18 months to three years old, in my opinion.

I'm a swim instructor with five daughters ranging in age from two to eight years old. On the swim team, there are four girls under the age of ten. This is the only goggle I've found that consistently fits most young swimmers' faces and does not leak when properly adjusted. They're simple to adjust, and the split strap allows you to spread the band for a more secure fit, depending on how they've styled their hair that day. They don't slip once they've been adjusted. It has a soft padding around the eyes. Because the nose piece doesn't adjust, there can be an issue with the eye pieces being too close or too far apart for swimmers eyes but I would say they fit 90 of% They are inexpensive, allowing even low-income parents to purchase a pair. The split band does have a tendency to snap, which is my only criticism. There's no need to buy another pair because this can be easily fixed by replacing the band with a cord style band.
THE REVIEWS ABOUT THESE BURNING THE SKIN AROUND THE EYES OF CHILDREN (AND ADULTS) ARE ACTUALLY TRUE Furthermore, neither of us has sensitive skin. I initially assumed it was the sunscreen I purchased, but it was only the goggles that were causing the problem, so I tried them on and read the reviews again. It's strange because I've always loved swimming and have never had goggles leave my face feeling like it was on fire around my eyes.
He normally despises anything that touches his head or face, but he was so excited to learn to swim that he was willing to put up with it. If your child has sensory issues, avoid buying kid goggles with tinted lenses (blue, grey, or any color other than clear). I got these in blue first, and he kept taking them off to see the world in natural color, and they were clearly distracting him. If you're unsure, choose clear. These seem to stay on his head fairly well and haven't leaked yet. I would strongly recommend them to children who have never swum before!.
The googles were still hurting her after I washed them in water. They burned under my eyes as well when I tried them. We tried another pair of the same kind, and they behaved in the same way. Both will be returned to us.
My children all refuse to wear them, claiming that they cause irritation to their eyes. When my husband and I tried them on, we experienced the same thing. What exactly is their issue?.
My son is adamant about going to swim lessons. The only saving grace is that he has these goggles to keep the water out of his eyes, or at the very least give him the assurance that it won't. With these on, he can do the pre-rinse and post-shower much more easily. Otherwise, it feels like I'm trying to wash a very angry cat who doesn't have claws, is slippery, screams like he's in a horror movie, and has super strength.
These are aimed at children aged three to ten years old. My two-year-old (who has a round head) and my three-year-old both fit in size 6. They're easily adjustable to the head and fairly stretchy and soft, which is perfect for helping young kids not throw fits or panic about them. 5 yr old (very skinny with narrow face) great without water leakage issues; they're easily adjustable to the head and fairly stretchy and soft, which is perfect for helping young kids not throw fits or panic about them. My kids used them to put their faces in the water and to jump off the pool's side, and the goggles didn't fall off or fill with water, so I'd say they did their job. We've only used them a couple of times at this point, so they're still new to us. I'm not sure how long they'll last, but based on what I've seen, they'll be put to good use. The pink/purple ones have clear lenses, but I didn't realize the orange/pink ones had pink lenses when I ordered them. If you don't want your lenses to be tinted, you should pick your color pair carefully.
These were advertised as having UV protection in the description. My pair didn't have any UV protection. Speedo was the brand purchased, and Amazon was the seller. I was hoping that the description would be accurate because it came from a reputable manufacturer and seller. A similar issue arose for me with an off-the-shelf product. manufacturer and/or seller of a particular brand. I examined the strip on a $20 bill that is supposed to glow with a UV flashlight. I've used this method to test a variety of sunglasses and goggles, and I'm familiar with how UV-protective they are. UV-protected but not UV protection is not equated by the amount of shading on lenses. As a result, they are not suitable for outdoor use and are not safe to use. Because of the shading, pupils enlarge to let more light in when shaded lenses are worn outside in the sun. As a result of the lack of UV protection, more UV light is now entering the eyes, which could cause damage. We've been using them for indoor swimming lessons for a 3-year-old for about a year. year old. They haven't broken yet, don't smell like chemicals, and don't burn your eyes like some other negative reviews claim.
