I just took a measurement: From the top of the curve to the bottom of the curve, the distance is 17" inches. 12" wide x 1 1/4" thick br>
It is not a flotation device; instead, it should be used for kicking and other swim technique drills.

" Thickness is limited to 0. 05" maximum. The "Underside finger grooves" channel carved out of the backside is not visible in the picture; don't be fooled, the "Side finger scallops" and "Underside finger grooves" are not useful features. By removing material and sacrificing buoyancy, they save Speedo money. br>br>In 16 years of competitive swimming, I've never held a kickboard near the "Side finger scallops. " I've always gripped the front with my entire arm(s) resting on the board. This kickboard can't generate enough buoyancy to lift your face/mouth out of the water while looking forward if you're 185 pounds. br>br>It's also made in Vietnam. br>br>I requested a refund and received it in full.
I'm not sure where these people who left bad reviews learned to use a kickboard, but on swim team, we were taught to abandon the "whole chest on kickboard" technique at the age of ten and switch to "kickboard held in front of you at arm's length" because a kickboard is not a floatation device and will not support an adult or teenager's weight. Mine had no odor and felt nice and solid.
This product receives four stars due to the strong plastic odor that lingers on my workout clothes and other gym gear. br>When everything else is taken into account, this is a good device that greatly aided my swimming. br>The piece has a lot of buoyancy and can float. br>The shape allows it to glide effortlessly through water, resulting in minimal extra friction while swimming. br>A good grip is provided by the side ridges. br>The board is quite hard to break in normal use due to the material's durability.
Because it was the largest board I could find, I chose this item. Despite the fact that it says it's for adults, I don't think most adults will be able to use it. My husband, who weighs about 190 pounds, sank when he used it. I bought it for my 8-pound dog to ride on while he swims with us in the pool. He's obviously a small dog, weighing only 8 pounds, and he fit on it just fine. It was extremely unstable, and we had to fight to keep him afloat without causing him to float away. I was a little let down. br>This could be a good option for children weighing under 50 pounds.
This is my brand-new pool pal! br>br>I'm working on toning my arms and legs, and this has been extremely beneficial. It's a lot more durable than the boards provided by my gym, so I can use it for some intense arm workouts. My ferrets have scratched it to death, but there's barely any damage visible. This thing has a lot of sturdiness to it!.
This is a fantastic kickboard; it's made of high-quality foam that doesn't retain water like many other kickboards I've used, and it's textured and grooved to make it easy to grip and hold onto in the water. My only complaint is the smell when you first get it; it's a very strong foam plastic smell that goes away after a few hours in the pool.
In our community pool, my husband and I enjoy swimming for exercise. There are a few different applications for this. When swimming on your back, position it behind your head and beneath your shoulders. This provides support for your head and neck, allowing you to focus on your core and lower body. If you hold your arm out in front of you while swimming straight forward, it will keep your upper body afloat, giving you a targeted lower-body workout. It's small, light, and easy to carry around. Two of them were purchased by us. He uses both at the same time (stacked on top of each other), whereas I only require one. I am 116 pounds and he is 172 pounds. The level of excellence is exceptional. I would strongly advise!.
It's a nice kickboard, but it stinks like hell. And it hasn't gone away even after being submerged in water. When the boat cover is on, this takes over the "marine" smell (if you have a boat, you're familiar with the smell of gas, water, blood, sweat, and tears). I'm hoping that the foam de-foams completely. Soon, there will be gassing. I'm starting to wonder if the product is genuine, because I can't imagine a legitimate factory allowing it to leave smelling like that.
