To adjust fit, split the putty into smaller pieces and re-mold it by hand.
Maybe if you can get them to stick well enough. With diving, I think they'd get a little loose. They're super easy to use and comfortable, and they stay in place well with a headband on top of them. They seal the ear by filling it up on the outside, rather than going in like a traditional ear plug.
It's a little harder to hear, but my child uses them in swim lessons, and we simply inform the teacher. I've never had an instructor tell me she wasn't getting her point across.
The muffles a little, but they're not designed to block out noise.

My youngest son was born without eardrums, so keeping water out of his ears has been a lifelong struggle for him. Because without the eardrums to protect him, he gets terrible ear infections whenever even the tiniest amount gets into his ears. After years of battling, his new ENT suggested that we try the EAR-MOUTH PROTECTION SYSTEM (EAR-MOUTH PROTECTION SYSTEM). BAND- It was a gift from above! Our first pair of PUTTY BUDDIES arrived with it. We thought they were just another set of silicone ear plugs at first, but after using them, we realized they weren't like the rest. PUTTY BUDDIES are more malleable and lighter than their counterparts. They spread much more easily than Macs or any other brand on the market (and believe me, we've tried them all!). ) while also providing improved security. They not only float, but they also float! Which is a feature we haven't had to use yet because he not only wears his EAR-MOUTH-MOUTH-MOUTH-MOUTH-MOUTH-MOUTH-MOUTH-MOUTH-MOUT BAND- PUTTY BUDDIES, on the other hand, are a little more tacky than other brands, so they stay put a lot better. The little case that comes with them is one of MY favorite features as a mom who has to keep up with them. It has made my life a lot easier. br>Because my son is now eight years old, we've been using PUTTY BUDDIES and the EAR-WASHING MACHINE. BAND- For more than four years, I've been working in the field of information technology. In a pinch, we'll use other brands, but PUTTY BUDDIES is our go-to. We only use them for his left ear right now because he recently had one of his ear drums successfully grafted, but that didn't stop me from ordering another ten pack. br>To be honest, I can't say enough good things about these earplugs, especially when they're used (properly) with the EAR-X. BAND- PUTTY BUDDIES, ON THE OTHER HAND, WILL MAKE YOUR EARS WATER. I'm so glad our ENT recommended these to us all those years ago, because water play would have been a lot more difficult without them. My son dives and swims like any other kid, and we're not concerned about infections as long as he has his "ear stuff. " br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that We always try to get the ten pack because it includes ten cases, whereas the three pack only includes one case with six plugs.
I have chronic ear problems and spent $120 on a custom ear mold plug that always let a little water in when I was swimming. br>The most important thing to remember when using these is to keep your ear clean and dry. If you have oily skin, clean it with rubbing alcohol before using. To soften them, gently shape them into a cone and roll them around in your fingers. It takes a little getting used to, but these are the best you can get. If one falls out while swimming after prolonged use, simply dry your ear and hands thoroughly with your towel and replace. br>After swimming, I always let the ear plugs air dry for 12 hours. Close the container lid for at least 24 hours before closing it.
I despise complaining in reviews because, as we all know, everyone is different. However, I felt compelled to write a review of these earplugs as a cautionary note, as they are truly awful. For my two-year-old daughter, I purchased them. daughter, who has tubes in her ears, is eight years old. Out of the ten sets, we tried four. pack. Two pairs of earplugs disintegrated while she was wearing them, one in the bath and the other at her child care center during water playtime. Little pieces of soft silicone became lodged in her ears as a result of this. Furthermore, the bits (both large and small) became lodged in her hair. Consider gum that gets caught in your hair. She had to sit for half an hour both times. To get the bit out of her hair, it took an hour of arduous pulling, yanking, and combing. She poked a hole through one of the other two pairs we tried while attempting to pull it out, almost causing it to fall apart; the fourth pair was eventually ok, but I doubt it will last another bath. I'm afraid some of these are still lodged in her ear. In addition, our daughter no longer wants to use ear plugs in the bath or while playing. I understand why she is upset, and I do not blame her.
My daughter wears ear plugs in the pool because she has chronic ear tubes and perforated eardrums. Because of the positive Amazon reviews, we were optimistic about these. Unfortunately, they disintegrate into a sticky clay-like substance. When material is removed, it does not stay in one piece. Pieces were lodged in both of her ear canals, as well as in her hair. I'm a pediatrician, so I was able to remove them using a fiberoptic ear speculum. Otherwise, I would have needed to see an ENT or a primary care physician. We've previously used a $5 pack of Putty Buddies from another manufacturer, and they're much more durable than these $20 Putty Buddies.
The best putty ear plugs on the market, and the only ones that will work for my son, who suffers from ear pain caused by water. He won't be able to use even custom plugs. These are best used with the corresponding headband, which you can buy separately, but they also work well without it. These are a must-have for us this summer at the pool. If they do fall out for whatever reason, they float up to the surface and are easily found. I also like that each one comes in its own reusable container, which helps to keep them looking nice; however, I wish they were a little more affordable, as we go through a lot of them each season.
Please be cautious! These were purchased for my grandson, who suffers from a chronic ear infection. He must maintain as much dryness as possible in his ears! We've bought putty buddy before, but never in such small containers. These are quite unique! They had small pieces that broke off and got stuck in his ear! We didn't realize he was deaf until he couldn't hear even with his hearing aid on because he is deaf. We had to rush him to the ent because his pcp couldn't get it out. She warned me not to buy anything like this in the future. The texture is a lot stickier than the ones that aren't packaged.
