These were purchased for my two young daughters, ages one and three. They're absolutely incredible. To avoid sounding cliched, I've never written a review before, but I feel compelled to do so now because these floaties have completely transformed our summer. In the water, both the one and three-year-old can float alongside us. They're completely secure. They are capable of holding their heads up on their own. And if someone gets out of the pool to toddle around on the deck, I'm not chasing them down, terrified that I'll have to dive into the pool and scoop them up at any moment. These are fantastic. The product specifies that it should be used by a child who weighs at least 30 pounds. Even though neither of my daughters has reached 30 pounds yet, these are adjustable and fit snugly around my 21-pound one-year-old. Although there is extra fabric at the shoulders, the float continues to function properly. These are a hit with my girls, and I enjoy them as well.

You've come to the right place if you're looking for a beginner floatie jacket for your child. My daughter is 13 months old, walking, and tall, but she is extremely frail. I was concerned about finding one of these jackets that would fit snugly around her chest and trunk because she weighs about 18 pounds. This was an excellent fit and performed admirably in the pool. It is assisting her in learning to keep her head up and propel herself with her legs. The only reason I didn't give this jacket five stars is because the girl patterns are a little unappealing. We went with a hula girl, but none of the girls were very nice, and the boys were very boyish. Why don't you try some that aren't gender specific? That would be wonderful.

When he got out of the water, he was able to remove his arms from it, which worried me. I tried this one right away after it arrived, and it's fantastic. Despite the fact that it says 30-inch, it fits tighter than his puddle jumper. He is only 23 pounds and weighs 50 pounds. I'm overjoyed to have received this. He enjoys it, as well. If you're on the fence about it because of the weight recommendations (like I was), give it a shot! Unlike his other puddle jumper, I couldn't even get it all the way tight. It is extremely tight fitting.

My twin grandsons, who are 22 months old, are the perfect fit. I feared it was too small because they weigh about 25 pounds. However, with a little strap tweaking, they're perfect! They also appear to be very safe, and it's reassuring to know that there's yet another line of defense against drowning.

My 16-month-old daughter enjoys swimming with her older sisters, so we needed to find something for her to wear. Typical infant life jackets are far too bulky, and she couldn't kick around or swim in them. Puddle jumpers were effective, but they made us nervous because she is so young and could easily take her arms out. I saw this shoulder strap style on another child and decided to purchase it to give it a try. When we cinch it as tight as we can, it works really well. She adores the fact that she can "swim. " My only gripe is that she's 22 pounds, and no company makes these for people under 30! So, despite the fact that it works, it's a little big on her. I wish I had the funds to purchase one for a younger child.

First and foremost, this product is incredible. My daughter is 20 months old and weighs approximately 28 pounds. 30 lbs. It is extremely well-fitting and secure around her petite frame. She is safe and secure in her life jacket; it does not sag or fall off her. Her head and body are kept in an upright position by the raised chest piece. The arm pieces are also included. This is made of foam-like layers, so it won't pop like traditional "arm floats," which I strongly advise against using with children under the age of eight. I hope this information is useful to a mother or father looking for a safe way for their young children to enjoy the water. When dealing with children in any type of water, exercise caution. This is my second purchase solely because the life jacket designs are so adorable. Also, the price range is $20-$30. A CHILD'S LIFE IN AND AROUND WATER COULD BE SAVED FOR $25. What a bargain!.

My two-year-old can swim and stay afloat in the water on her own. I had brought our super awesome lifejacket with us, but it kept putting her on her back, as it should in an emergency. I didn't want to be in the pool like this. I really like that these are PFDs that have been approved. These also have shoulders to prevent children from removing them on their own, which is exactly what we need with a toddler who manages to get into and out of everything she wears. She goes to the pool almost every week with her family for a swim, and this always comes with her. It comes highly recommended!.

I'm not sure how this would work or fit a child weighing less than 30 pounds. This was ordered for my 2-year-old granddaughter, who weighs approximately 23 pounds. Based on reviews, I chose this one over the Stearns I ordered for her 4-year-old sister because it was said to work on smaller children. Her arms didn't even begin to stay in it because it was too big around the waist. I ordered another one in the same style as her sisters, though it is still a little too big.
