In the bath, my 3-year-old granddaughter likes to put on goggles to keep soap and water out of her eyes. Her Frozen goggles from Walmart had broken, so I ordered these to replace them. They're a lot better than Walmart's brand, and they're a lot more comfortable. Unlike her previous pair, the nose band stays in place, and the suction is extremely powerful. They were a perfect fit for her and also for her mother, indicating that they cover a wide range of sizes. I'll report back in a few months on their durability, as they're used almost every day.
I usually spend a little more, but after reading the rave reviews, I decided to give these a try. My children (ages 7 and 8) found them ineffective. Despite being properly fitted, the goggles leaked, and both of my children complained of discomfort. One pair's coating also scratched on the first day. I'm going back to my regular brand because the small savings were not worth it for us. I'm looking for goggles that will last me a season of daily use.
They did get some scratches because my boys put a lot of wear and tear on them. This is the second year we've gotten them these. For this brand, this two-pack is a great deal, and they still come in a nice clear case! The case isn't as nice as the single pack, but we don't mind.
The goggles look great. They don't leak and have adjustable straps for a comfortable fit. Given that these are children's goggles, it would be ideal if the nose connector could be made shorter. It's something I'd like for my 5-year-old daughter. She used to swim without goggles and had to dive with her eyes closed before I bought her goggles. She liked these goggles and told me so when she tried them on: "With these goggles, I began filling something new. " ” : ) Before, my 8-year-old son wore goggles designed for adults. When he tried this one, he said it was more convenient for him, and he began to use it.
We were looking for ones with a split strap because single straps tend to slide up and down on the backs of my children's heads. These have stayed put even after jumping into the pool and swimming. My son complains that the goggles are too dark, and that taking them off hurts his eyes too much because they go from dark to bright, so he doesn't always wear them. My daughter, on the other hand, is a big fan.
My son is an accomplished swimmer. A lot. Most days this summer for an hour, and that's just swimming clinic; we also go to the beach and water park for fun, and he swims there as well. In the pool, on the beach, and at the waterpark, these goggles have proven to be extremely durable. They adhere well to his eyes, fit well, and are simple to adjust, unlike some goggles that make you want to pull your hair out trying to get the fit just right. Nowhere has the mirror finish been scratched or worn thin. I'm blown away, especially considering the low cost and the fact that you get two pairs. I'd say I'd buy them again in a heartbeat, but I don't think we'll need to. These appear to be in excellent condition.
After finishing his swim lessons, my son was awarded his goggles. Blue is one of his favorite colors. They're comfortable to wear and adjust, even loosening them is simple. There's a tab you lift that makes it much easier to loosen back up when adjusting to the correct size, which is fantastic. He hasn't had much time in the water with them yet, but they suction and stay on well so far. The only thing I don't like about them is how strange they appear through the lenses. Perhaps glare as a result of the lens' reflective film? The kids, on the other hand, don't seem to mind. I also only tried them on out of the water for a very brief period of time, so that could have been the problem. Overall, I believe it was a good buy for the money.
My four-year-old, who has a smaller head, loves these goggles. I like the colors in the product, and she likes how it turns everything pink. The nose pieces are a little big for her small head, but they aren't so big that we can't use them. It's great that it includes a case and extra nose pieces. She hasn't figured out how to put the straps on and what the double strap is for, so I'm trying to be patient while giving her instructions she doesn't seem to understand. I like how the straps on both sides can be adjusted and how they release if you tighten them too much.
