I'm 5'2" and 110 pounds, and I'm not curvy in the least. Because I was concerned about the same issue as you, I ordered a medium. They were a good fit at first, but after a day at Hollywood Studios, they had grown to be enormous! They were on the verge of slipping away! I'm coming back to get an xs. I believe that after wearing them, even the small would be too big.
It has a tight band, but it isn't a thick one that keeps the tummy in place. As a result, they'll form a band, but the lower tummy fat will bulge under them.
Medium, in my opinion, is the best option. I'm also around 125-130 pounds, and these are squat-proof and keep my midsection in place.
There will be no sliding.

I went up a size and they're perfect! I'm 5'6" and 195 pounds, so I went with the XL. They were worn to help me lift a heavy leg day.
Oalka's shorts for women are incredible. They are my favorite. To begin, I'd like to state that I'm between 5'3 and 5'4 inches tall. On a regular basis, I weigh between 120 and 126 pounds. I usually dress in small sizes. This company supplied me with three small shorts. (at different times) Burgundy, black, and dark navy If I had the option, I would purchase all of the colors. br>br>It was for a girls trip that I first received the black pair. I wore it into a club under a dress so I could have pockets. I felt fantastic, my butt looked great under my dress, and I danced the entire night away. Second, I took them out for a 6-mile bike ride with no pantyhose. Third, I wore them on a wine walk with cute black shoes, so there was no peeking, no slipping, no adjusting, just pure comfort. I must have washed and dried them at least ten times. They're still perfect (I didn't dry them the first time, but I did the rest of the time). I have no reservations in recommending these practical black shorts. br>br>Secondly, I have the Navy blue. So cute! This is a dark color. I chose it because I had a couple of navy blue sports bras on hand. I ordered a small, which arrived ahead of schedule and fits me perfectly! These shorts are made of excellent material. The pockets are deep, allowing me to fit my phone, wallet, keys, and hand, and they reach just below my belly button. I have a ring, so that's where I prefer it to be; if I adjust them above the belly button, they usually move back below, but not any further. They are not going anywhere. Proof against squatting. There are no holes in it. br>br>I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some burgundy. They'll be fantastic, I have no doubt. br>br>Another point to consider: I once ordered an oalka tennis skirt and returned it because the fabric quality was inferior to that of the shorts. I ended up returning the skirt because it was too big on me, had strange undershort material, and was not flattering. br>br>I'm waiting on two pairs of full-length leggings with pockets in black and green to arrive. There will be no chafing on your thighs! My height is 4'11" and my weight is around 140 pounds. My body measurements are 38-38-38-38-38-38-38 I'm a pear-shaped woman who carries her extra weight in her belly, hips, and thighs. In the A-, I bought a size Large. style. br>br>I purchased these jogging shorts. Running shorts cause a lot of chafing for me because I have thunder thighs. It's simply too hot to run in capris now that summer has arrived, even early in the morning. These shorts are incredible. br>br> During a two-mile run this morning, I had no chafing at all. It's also amazing that I didn't have to stop and adjust them at all. Because I have large thighs, I was expecting them to roll up at the thighs. I'm not sure if they'd hold up to a more strenuous workout, but they're great for jogging and comfy enough to wear around the house. I'll most likely purchase a few more pairs in different colors. br>br>One thing to keep in mind: I have an iPhone 8, and I can fit it in my pockets almost completely, but only just. If your phone is larger, it might not fit as snugly in your pocket.
To begin, I'd like to point out that Amazon's athletic clothing brands have a long way to go. Every $20 pair of shorts requires me to read reviews to ensure that I will receive exactly what I ordered. I've ordered a size up, a size down, and my true size from a variety of brands, only to find that they all don't fit. It's critical for an internet brand's size to be accurate because if I have to return something, I'll simply not order again because it's too inconvenient. br>br>After reading the reviews, I decided to order these in a size larger than my usual medium to fit my 5'5, 125-pound female body. Because mid waist and low rise athletic shorts are scarce on Amazon, or they are all out of stock in my size and the color I want, these shorts are loose on the legs, ride up in the crotch, and crush my bladder with the high waist. When I order clothes on Amazon, I always feel like I have to settle for something I don't want. I can't work out in leggings, and I need something close to my body for the types of workouts I do; I don't need my kidneys crushed, bladder squished, or butt wedgied while I try to jump around and exercise; it will only cause cramps and make me need to go to the bathroom while I exercise, so I'm returning these and hoping that this brand can make a better short that is true to size and not uncomfortable or embarrassing to be seen in. It will definitely be too big if I order a size up. For the time being, I'm sticking to brands I'm familiar with that sell on Amazon, such as Soffee, so I can get a consistent product and put my Christmas gift cards to good use. br>br>The short itself feels like it's made of good material, has a nice color, and is reasonably priced, so I'm hoping they can get it right. This is merely some helpful feedback.
