There's no snap to be found.
Yes a 26- The baton will fit, but keep in mind that it is made of kydex, which has very little retention.
The whole thing is made of plastic, which I like because it keeps my ASP in place nicely, without rattling or dragging when I draw it.
The length of the holder is just over 5 inches. Mine (purchased 4 years ago) is still going strong. It's worth noting that there's no real retention system in place, which means you or anyone else can easily remove the baton. I'd buy it again, but watch where you put it on your duty belt; it's not fun to have something poking you in the back while sitting in those hard courtroom chairs.

It's built to last. br>Ability to hold baton in extended position.
Con: Instead of looping through the belt, the attachment option could be improved by adding a clip.
I was expecting it to have a flex or an insert. The only way to use a 21" baton safely is to expand it through the holster's back hole. My 21" baton just sits in it, despite the fact that it says it's for both 21" and 26" batons. Today, I placed an order for one that is rated for batons ranging from 16" to 21". I'm sure I'll do better with that one, especially since the highest rating it has is for 21". On the plus side, I might be able to use this holster to hold a flashlight.
This ASP holder does a good job of holding the ASP in place, and I liked how it didn't rotate. The holder's finish bothers me because it appears to be cheap.
This one is probably my favorite; it's made of a hard plastic and fits perfectly on my duty belt.
A metal piece in the holder is supposed to keep the asp in place. That is not the case. And there's no way to make it any tighter. My asp flops all over the place. It's not going to work for me. It's possible that you'll be able to use another manufacturer besides asp.
It's great, but it would be better if it could swivel at the mounting location.
My collapsible baton was well-fitting on my utility belt.
It turned out that the material wasn't quite what I expected. It appears that a piece of plastic was glued to the holster's outer surface.
