You'll be okay if your opponent uses gloves that weigh 14 or 16 ounces, like the ones I use at my gym. Wearing it has never caused me any problems in terms of getting hit in the chin. You're likely to be stuck out of the picture anyway if you do. I have actually found that it has provided excellent protection for my big nose.

There is also a kind of leather that is very thin and not of the best quality. The smell was supposedly due to adhesives and synthetic materials that have aired out and eventually left, but it's been three days since I wrapped it in a plastic bag, and the smell is still there. I ordered the xl/l and apparently have a large head, so it came very narrow.
In a nutshell, I like this headgear a lot. In the beginning, it was tight, but I packed a soccer ball inside of it and left it sitting overnight so that the frame would become accustomed Unlike other headgear, this one offers great protection, and I have used it for most of my sparring.
I bought this hoping it would add some extra protection, as black eyes are frowned upon at my office. Although I have found it to provide good protection, I have had to rub my forehead raw as a result. I experienced the same headache experienced by others when they first wore this headgear due to it being tight around the temples. I had this headache from the beginning to the end of the sparring session. A little redness also appeared on my forehead. In response to other reviews, I tried widening the sides of the hat to ease pressure on the temple areas, which worked in this case. The only difference is that instead of a headache after sparring all day, my forehead was completely rubbed raw, and now I have what looks like a rug burn on my forehead, which is worse than the black eyes I tried As of yet, I have not been impressed with this headgear and regret not spending the extra funds for a Cleto Reyes one.
As well, they provide excellent ear protection. In order of least to most annoying, here are the cons The belt buckle chin strap, 2) it's noticeably tight around the temples despite following Ringside's sizing recommendations, and that's one of the reasons I didn't give it a 4-star review. There are stars on this shirt 2) You can't see through the face bar! Although the face bar does an excellent job of preventing direct blows to the nose and jaw, I have noticed that wearing this has made me more vulnerable to body shots. This product is still a good choice if you feel that the protection provided to your nose and upper jaw is your number one priority and you don't mind having your peripheral vision blocked.
It is by far the most loved brand and fit for us. You will love the way it fits on your head. The belt is very snug, but it does not feel constrictive. As a result, you will be able to protect your nose and jaw without having to worry about it slipping. Our favorite nose guard during sparring sessions and training sessions is the nose guard. We expected that it would fit perfectly. The product is certainly worth the investment for anyone who is just getting into boxing or who spars and trains on a frequent I've used a lot of them, but this is the greatest.
The lenses wouldn't stay on for more than three minutes, so if you have a small head you might want to get them however, I'm S-sized. The size is M, but I feel that it is too small.
For boxers, this head gear is great. Very well designed and similar to the design of Wining, but the backing is velcro instead of lace, and it is a fraction of the price. I would highly recommend it for style, comfort, and certainly for the price.
