Questions & Answers
These wraps are used in our office. They're a little thicker than gauze and almost as sticky as coban.
They're two inches wide.
It resembles cloth rather than the traditional gauze. It's still usable. We don't use it to treat injuries; instead, we use it to wrap the hands of our team members who handle live turkeys.

I prefer these because they provide more protection without bunching up like traditional wraps. I begin with these and then follow up with a short 110" semi-circle. I prefer the Leone brand of stretch wrap. The gauze is excellent for metacarpal protection, regardless of how you wrap it. Some people may complain that they aren't cushioned enough, but that isn't the point of your wraps. They're used to support the bones and cartilage, and LeRoys are particularly good at it. If you require additional padding, you can incorporate it into your wrapping technique or purchase knuckle guards.
They're classic Mexican wraps that have stood the test of time. These aren't like the stiff, thick gloves that are so popular these days; they're designed to mold to the shape of your hands while still providing adequate wrist and metacarpal protection. These aren't so much for padding knuckles as they are for keeping padding to a minimum in Mexican boxing gloves. I roll up medical gauze and place it on top of the knuckles, then wrap these wraps around them for padding. However, for a complete wrap, you'll need two of these in each hand. The good news is that these can be machine washed and, with proper care, can last for a year or longer. I now wear two pairs per day and machine wash them once every two weeks in a delicates wash bag because I have so many. This is a fantastic product for anyone who practices on a regular basis.
I use these wraps instead of velcro because I have a pair of winnings and hayabusa glory gloves, and the velcro ones can scuff up the inside liner, especially on the glory gloves. br>br>In addition, because these are relatively inexpensive, I can discard them once the material begins to degrade, and they are also soft.
Hand wraps that are the best on the market.
These are nice, but they're not as thick or long as my other wraps, and they're also not the same width, so you'd have to use two wraps for each hand.
I wear them under my MMA gloves and they're fantastic. The problem I had was that regular wraps were too big to fit into my gloves. Furthermore, I dislike wearing full-on boxing gloves because they cause my hands to sweat (and possibly stink). These aid in the stabilization of the hand, reducing the risk of injury. I also tend to reuse them so I don't go through the entire pack, and they've lasted for four years. Each has been used by five people.
These wraps are old school but super effective; you'll probably need two per hand to get the best padding for your workout/training, but they're tried and true wraps. This book comes highly recommended.
