It used to be that I got a lot of bruises on my chest. According to the size chart, it's true to size. I'm 5'7", slim, and I wear a size small. I'm pear-shaped (larger hips), and wear a women's 12/14 and a men's 40. However, since this is a compression shirt, I ordered the XL rather than the Large. I like the fit of the shirt, but the sleeves were too long, so the shoulder pads acted more as upper arm pads. In order to fix this, I tucked the excess fabric between the neckline and shoulder padding beneath the pad and stitched the fabric to itself using a zig-zag/stretch The fix was simple (for the record, I hate sewing and am horrendous at it, so this really wasn't difficult), and the pads are securely in place now. However, I may upgrade to a more protective padded shirt in the future since this is fairly thin hex padding (or perhaps I will.
