It seems like the mat has the strength to handle the movements of the athlete and some softness to break a fall. I've never done Jiujitsu but it looks like a tough mat.
There is a two inch thickness to it. In total, there are four pieces to the puzzle. A 2 inch thickness is applied to each sheet. Stacking them when you fold up the paper is the way to do it. The height of the object is 8 inches.

It is thicker than I wanted and I found it here. Although I would have ordered one with a foot shorter in width, it is too wide for two people to use, but it will work if you take it camping. I find it very comfortable to wear during yoga or other forms of exercise. There is no better way to learn. You will find that it is one of the best investments you have ever made.
The mat is great for my 8 year old granddaughter who is in gymnastics- she uses it at home to practice. It's the perfect size for her. Mat is durable and well padded

There is a misunderstanding in the description. Originally purchased this thinking we would need a mat that was 4' by 6'. It should be a portable device (perhaps 2' by 3' folded, The actual dimensions of the box were 7" wide, 18" deep, The unit weighs 12 pounds. That makes it very heavy to maneuver around the house, especially if someone wants to do exercises on the floor!.
They're liked by everyone. A connected 2 looks like a connected 1. I find it very helpful. My girls cleaned a stain with something that caused it to discolor, and I am not sure how the stain got that color. The type of equipment they used is unknown to me. Matt is in the play room where they also do crafts, which I can't remember the name of. It definitely turned out that there was a "spot" on the mat of a slightly different shade.
