Selected User Reviews For Primo Chalk - 1 LB Bag Competition Quality Chalk
The chalk was great and I was very excited about it. As a previous user, I had only used unicorn dust (which I liked, but I disliked the clumpy texture). While being ultra fine, this chalk has a nice texture and a nice feel when it's in your bag (but it gets everywhere when you transfer it). I felt that it was making my hands slicker and that I was just sliding off the climbing holds instead of sticking because I was just sliding off the surface rather than sticking to it. It might be possible for the unicorn dust to help, I tried mixing it with the Still, it did not make much of a difference. I mixed it with 99% rubbing alcohol and liquid lidocaine at one point, which was great for adding a super thin layer as a way to dry out my hands when they were I also found that the scent is pleasant. However, I found that my calluses were building up to the point that they were tearing off and peeling. *I have stopped using chalk indoors for the past month or so and my skin has improved by a great deal. It seems that my hands (and clothing) are covered with chalk at the gym by the end of the session anyway (no more calluses or snaggly cuticles).
My climbing chalk bag has been filled up with Primo chalk for the second time. Between use of Primo and another brand, the other brand did not provide the same results. My hands do not seem to become dry after using it, and I really enjoy the scent. As far as climbing is concerned, it works well. There is just enough chalk to coat the skin without it being excessive. It seems the chalk lasts a long time on my hands since they don't sweat a lot. Purchasing again when the 1lb is finished. It takes a little while to prepare.
I keep reapplying it several times. I can get to about 8 feet to the bar and then have to stop in order to get more when I say I have to reapply. It doesn't get very sweaty on my hands. My recommendation is not to do so.
My first purchase of chalk was this one (I'm a new rock climber), and I liked it. For my second purchase, however, I went with a different chalk brand. I kept coming back to this, but my hands felt itchy and sweaty so I went back to the first product, which left my hands feeling itchy and sweaty. I can't speak more highly of it because I've never had a problem with it.
It was a disappointment. There may be a pleasant smell, or it may be antibacterial This chalk included antibacterial and skin conditioning properties (I'm not sure why this is a selling point for people buying chalk), but none of these things helped me improve This is great, thank you Hands stay sticky for a short period of time. I found my hands to be more slippery when they were sweaty. I used it twice and threw away the rest.
Addition of essential oils seems to make a difference in moisture for your hands (and makes it smell better too! It helps take the edge off of my less expensive chalks, so I like to mix it in with.
I don't like this chalk. It's too powdery for my taste and not very sticky either. Even so, it smelled nice. It is unlikely that I will order from them.
The PrimoChalk I bought this time is my second one. As a result of this, my hands don't become cracked especially since it contains essential oils. Whenever I need something, I go to this.
