one to try practicing left-handed combat with, and one to try practicing right-handed combat with. handed. br>The good news is that the item is nearly identical to what was advertised: a fully functional épée with a spare blade at an unbeatable price for a brand new weapon br>The bad news is that it's made a little cheaply, but what did you expect for the price? If you're looking for something cheap, this is it. br>An important point to keep in mind: I tried to replace a broken blade on an épée I already owned with the spare blade they included, but the tang width of their blade didn't fit through the bell guard on the other weapon. So don't plan on repairing a weapon from a different vendor with the "spare" blade. br>The quality gets a two-star rating here: "Meets minimal standards," as I'd describe it. This is a five-star product in terms of quality to price, and I'd buy it again (for a good price). This is a practice blade, not a competition blade.
My son showed up for his fencing class. The wire comes out the first time you use the sword. His teacher will make an effort to correct the situation. If not, this will be returned to you. Such a letdown. This is quite costly, and he wouldn't even be able to use it for a single lesson.
The springs on both of the blades that arrived were too long, so I had to replace them to make them legal. Aside from that, the Epee isn't half bad. During one tournament, they performed admirably. br>Overall, I think it's a little sloppy on the vendor's part for an assembled tip to fail inspection upon arrival, but the fix isn't too difficult, so two stars instead of one.
The package was in good shape when it arrived. There was an extra blade in this box. Despite the fact that the epee was not secured in the box, it was not damaged.
However, the handle is loose when it is removed from the package, and your guard will spin. So get them, use them, and break them in a week for the price.
Instead of using my FIE weapons, I bought it to practice with. After a week of light practice, the blade broke, and I replaced it with the supplied blade, but the point became stuck almost immediately.
At a tournament, it didn't even make it through inspection.
