Is it possible to cut this with a knife?

Why would you defend yourself with a knife using sport fencing equipment? No, it's not the case. Is designed to keep your chest safe from fencing weapons such as the foil. It is not something I would recommend.

Not 100 sure on your question, but the straps are sewn to form loops, and I have had no complaints on that velcro quality from female fencers on that velcro quality

Is there a way to use this for boxing?

I don't believe so. Designed to protect fencing gear against hard tip hits. Gloves do not strike. There is no padding and it is made of hard plastic.

I'm very pleased with this product; I've been looking for something like it for a long time, and the fit is perfect. I'm a C cup, so I went with the large. I like the way the straps adjust, but I'm sure the velcro will wear out over time, so I'll replace it with hooks. I like how it fits and how it provides extra protection when sparring.

For historical swordplay, this is an excellent chest protector

Strong, versatile, affordable, and straightforward. A plastic chest protector doesn't have much to offer. We use them for historical swordplay because they work well and fit almost any adult at a reasonable price. Because they are adaptable and low-profile, they do not appear to cause too much disruption.
