so, the straps can either be attached to the saddle rigging or to any D rings. There are also grommets that could be used to attach the saddle to the straps. don't use straps myself but just some strings with grommets and D rings for my personal gear.
Brass grommets are provided to attach the saddle strings.
I have not measured it, but it appears to be Is it 12"? On a saddle, it's long enough to access the common d rings. It's actually quite easy to just clip the straps out of the way using twist ties.
It may work for a slicker, but it may not within the budget.

As a gift for my wife, I purchased this for Christmas. I am very pleased with the quality and functionality of the product. Added to that, I also bought her a Day Bag saddle bag in the same color, so now she has all the accessories she needs. I live and ride in the mountains and canyons of Colorado, and we usually do a lot of day rides, anywhere from 6 to 12 hours We usually walk 10 miles per month, depending on the weather. A great bag for the short rides for gloves, food, water bottles, hoof picks, rope, cameras, etc. It is very easy to attach and once you run the adjustable straps into your rear D ring or into your front cinch D ring, it stays in place. On the bottom, you will find tabs with ringed eyelets so that you can tie your saddle ties through them to further secure it. There is an additional set of nylon straps on the bottom of the bag that can be adjusted to fit around the entire bag and allow items to be tied on top of it, Our group has used this on six rides to date, including some where we explored new canyons and rode into thick oak brush and pine/juniper As far as I knew, the bag was never going to come In addition, heavy-duty equipment is needed The bag is made of heavy-duty nylon, so there is no possibility of it It is nice to have a zipper that is It also has a waterproof lining, which when the time comes will prove useful. The company behind the product has a great reputation, ensuring that the product is great. The product is in excellent condition, and if well looked after, is likely to last for years to come.
I use it all the time. It was not awkwardly shaped nor was it It is perfectly shaped behind my saddle and stays in place the entire time. The straps are long enough for any saddle (almost too long), but they can be adjusted to an ideal length. With it, you can carry a lead, a raincoat, a couple of water bottles, and even a hoof pick on a day ride. In order to go on longer rides, I plan on buying the insulated saddle bags. It's the best brand I've ever seen.
I find it to fit snugly, look good, and clean easily. With this bag, I can store a packed lunch and snacks for two plus a few drinks. I have a horse who is sweaty, and her sweat doesn't penetrate the inside, and the outside is very easy to clean up. All saddles can be used with these straps because the clips allow easy adjustment. The straps are actually way shorter than I needed for my own purposes.
I would recommend this bag since it is not too big, but still suitable The bag should fit at least two 16oz water bottles, as well as a hoof pick and a few other small items. It is very sturdy and flexible at the same time. I tied the bag on with the saddle strings that I already had. It was so small that I didn't even notice it! It is much more convenient than a pommel bag since my saddle tops out at the pommel, and the pommel bags are impossible to use because they obstruct.
Considering I've never ridden a horse, I was cautiously optimistic that I could attach this cantle bag to my saddle and that it would be spacious enough to avoid buying Exactly what I wanted, well-built, roomy, and padded without being too This zipper looks very durable and should last for quite some time. It has two attachment options, but I used the straps to attach to the back rigging D-ring. I'm wearing it. Outfitter's Supply sent out my order in record time. I was really pleased with the product and service. I will be purchasing from them again.
I love this saddle bag, it's great for short rides, when you don't want to lug around a larger saddle bag. It is only a con that I am unable to keep them from flopping around and moving, especially when I am mounting and dismounting. Trying to secure them but can't seem to get them to work. If I ride next time, maybe I can figure out something.
It seems to be well made and is insulated to fit a bottle of water or two plus other trail essentials. The trailer is plenty of roomy, especially for a day trip. I haven't used it yet, but thus far I am pleased with it.
My return to the country was successful.
