Hey Shelby, The TrailMax 500 Series Front Saddle Pocket attaches to a western saddle by wrapping a strap around the pommel and securing it with a side Many people find this to be more than enough security, however, there is an additional dee on the underneath side for those who would like to run their saddle strings through the dee and tie it. Definitely work if you have a place to buckle it 'cause you can't do that without a place to buckle it ---- Also on the back is a ring that can be used to clip a carabiner clip or something similar.

The saddle bag is very well made. The size is not too big, but not too small. There is a big area where you can place your phone, but there is a small pocket on the outside which will only fit a Getting saddles on and off is easy. A small item that works well.

I love the size of this product line for day trips on the trail. It's too bad this zipper broke the first time I used it. Now it's impossible to return because it's past the return window. I hate it.

This is great for wearing on a belt as well! Today was the first day I've used it since I got it yesterday

However, I did not use it on my saddle. As I practiced riding in the indoor ring as well as when I ridden on the trails, it was attached to my belt to store my cell phone. The product did not bounce around at all and was perfect! As of yet, I have not tried it on my saddle, but I'm confident that it will be.
