There are two button clips that hold the device on to you but it is not certain that you can then put it back on again because the buttons will come off. In addition, it will essentially ruin the look of that nice leather hat band. Perhaps you should purchase a hat style without a Helmets like this one are very good.
*Judy* I wear a 7 1/2 hat size. Mine fits comfortably. I have used large before, but it doesn't fit well. It is possible to adjust them.

My last helmet purchase was this summer after I hadn't worn one for years. It was just a couple of weeks ago that my horse fell and I rolled over to the ground, In spite of my leg being badly damaged (torn ACL) and my helmet being broken, my head is intact! I didn't even lose consciousness. The troxel helmet is something that I will ALWAYS wear on my next ride. The horse I was riding has a height of more than 18 hands, and my helmet would have kept my head from being smooshed like a grape. I want to thank you, Troxel!.
As a typical helmet wearer, I decided to buy one after an accident that likely could have been fatal. Though I never wear a helmet normally, I decided my family could benefit from my presence a little longer. It's possible to find cheaper helmets, but I like that this one does not appear to be made for school. If the weather is cool, you will find it very comfortable. Having not yet worn it in the deep south's humid hot summer, I have no idea how it will actually feel. A helmet with this design but without the construction would also be appreciated. Generally, I found this helmet to be the most tasteful, but western helmets, which is the style I ride, were too flashy (tacky) for me. The idea of wearing bling, roses, crosses, etc. on your head is not desirable to all western riders.
Grizzly Brown is the color I got. You've got a great idea! In my opinion, the long visor is what made me choose this helmet. Whenever I go outside I like to wear a baseball cap to protect my eyes. I went to the Troxel website to determine the correct helmet size. Nevertheless, the padding does not appear to be taken into account. While wearing a helmet, this is a problem when riding for an extended period. The helmet usually caused me headaches, and I usually had no choice but to avoid long rides when I had a headache. My favorite part about the new harness is the fit and It was time to get rid of the bulky click dial knob. With the new design of the adjustment mechanism, it is completely out of the way and comfortable to use. A pretty helmet without being overly girly or garish is what appeals to me.
