It is much better to have wider hobbles, 1-2 It is optimum to keep the gap at 1/2 inch. The advertised sizes were 1 and 2 As a result, I ordered them 1/2 inch. A single inch was all that they were. In the end, since the shipping cost was about the same as the purchase price, I had no option but to take I also noticed that they were advertised as nylon and after studying them closely, I think they are, but the weave is not smooth, not like some other nylon tack I have. So I used them on my mare, but after two nights, As far as I am concerned, these hobbles are useless for an extended packing trip because of their narrowness and abrasive nature. I'll be glad to have a forum here as long as I can. For the 1-year course, expect to pay $50 (or more) The leather equivalent of a 1/2 inch is subject to tear due to an inherent flaw in the design of the hardware, such as It would have been better if the stretches were spread across the belt, like an elongated '0' or a rounded rectangle. Bottom line. No hard feelings on my part. I can use 'em in a pinch, and they are definitely tough.
There are three feet apart. Each leg needs to be buckled to prevent the horse from slipping.
This is not a miniature horse it's the size of a quarter horse. The product slipped off, so I was unable to use it. There is too much room for play in this design.
Sadly, the shots and other medical care I needed did not work on the animals I tried.
In the case of larger horses, these could be just an inch or two longer. Is simple enough for anyone.
The nylon material is of really good quality and works well on big ponies and bobby horses.
This is cheap. A few uses of the stitching resulted in a loss of strength. If you need durability, look somewhere else.
