My granddaughter is a size 3 1/2, and I purchased a size four for her, which fits perfectly.
No, they aren't for toddlers. My 10-year-old granddaughter received a size 4 from me.
The boots are in kid sizes, so if she wears a size 4 in regular shoes, she'll fit into a size 4 in the boots. Some people prefer to size up to get a thicker sock or more room for growth.
I have the adult version, which has a stitched sole.

Fit: I usually wear a size 7 to a size 8 shoe. I was torn between a 5 and an 8, so I went with the 7. They're the perfect fit, with a little extra room for thicker winter socks. It's a little tight around the ankle. My ankles are average, but possibly a smidgeon slimmer than average. As a result, for some people, this could be a problem. They are, however, ideal for me. They'll need a little 'breaking in,' but they didn't rub or feel stiff the first time I wore them to the barn - In fact, memory foam insoles are included, which is a pleasant surprise. br>Durability: They're a little chunkier than most paddock boots, which I like, and the sole is thick enough that you can use them for barn work as well as riding. They appear to be well-made, but only time will tell if the soles and leather will hold up, or if the zipper will fail me (a common issue with this style of boot). br>Shipping Information: br>Shipping Information: br>Shipping They arrived quickly, but there was an odd stain on the shoe box. It's as if it had been thrown up on by a cat. Fortunately, the shoes inside appeared to be undamaged, but it made me feel nauseous. br>br>Overall, I give these boots five stars and am hopeful that they will last! I ride twice a week and sometimes spend a good portion of the day in my boots, so any pair I buy should last at least two years.
Ariats are something I've worn before (at least 7 years). They were never particularly comfortable for me. Today was my first time riding in one of these. They were fantastic- There is no break in time, and they have a nice, cushy foot bed, a sturdy zipper, and leather that is soft but not lacking in structure. I went with the brown. It's a beautiful dark chocolate brown color. A 7 is the size I usually wear. In street shoes, 1/2 or 8 will suffice. I got this in a size 7 and a size 8. a figure of eight The eight were returned due to their size. The 7 is ideal for wearing with a Zock sock or any other thin sock. I expect them to stretch a little, so if you're a 1/2 size, I'd recommend ordering down because they run big on me. I assumed they would have a smooth sole based on the picture on Amazon, but they don't--as you can see in my photos. However, it is far from "chunky. " They appeal to me greatly!.
My daughter has wide feet and is, understandably, particular about her footwear. These are made of premium leather and are a perfect fit for her feet. She wants to put them on all the time, not just when she's riding. (For reference, she is almost eight years old and wears a size one. ) 5 adidas sneakers (I got the sz 2 tuffrider boots and they're perfect, with maybe 1cm of room for growth).
It took me a long time to break in, but once I did, I was blown away. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 Wide, but I needed a size 9 M. I had to wear them unzipped for two days before we could zip one and then the other the next day. After a week of daily use (1-week) 2 hours a day) and they are so comfortable and zip up now that the break-in time was well worth it; they are comfortable to ride in as well as to wear around town. It looks great with my riding pants or a pair of jeans. I'm hoping they'll last me a long time.
They are excellent. My kids always have issues with footwear if it doesn't feel right from the start, so I'd rather pay a little more for the leather ones. These boots are stiff right out of the box, but with some manual breaking in and rubbing bar soap on the inside, the leather softens up and no longer rubs the ankles or causes discomfort.
We've been using these since April and are very pleased with them. They're very comfortable; it didn't take long to break them in, and they've performed admirably while walking through the barn, getting a little wet, and stepping in all sorts of interesting things, lol.
My 6-year-old daughter returned home from a girl scout camp excited about zip-lining. Horse boots on the front. I ordered these, and they've been her go-to shoes for the past six months. They are adored by the. She finally wore through the heel after six months of daily use. And this is after a lot of time on the blacktop at school, so don't hold it against me. I placed a second order for a pair of shoes. The sole lasted longer than the zipper and elastic!.
The boot's sole had separated from the boot from the toe to the arch in less than a week. I sent an email to the company requesting a replacement or refund - There was no reaction.
