Having purchased these to go over my winter riding breeches and thick socks, they look great. The pros are I was very satisfied with the quality of the leather, the Velcro, and the fit. The cons are It is too thin to securely attach the top strap to the top ring because the suede tab that holds it is too thin. The weak link is literally the weakest part. It was in the first hour of riding that the left suede tab completely tore, leaving the top strap hanging the right suede tab tore half-way. There is a way to get there. I am disappointed. It has returned.

This is what we used while riding horses. Half chaps like these are very nice. The large sizes they sell do not fit over motorcycle jeans with knee pads. I was looking for a pair of gloves for motorcycle riding, but they don't have any large sizes. My second thought was that the XL would fit, but it didn't, so they were returned. Three XXXLs or four XXXLs needed. A pair of gaudy motorcycle chaps had to be purchased.
A suede material with a velcro closure is described in the product description as being a real suede material. I bought these as part of a costume and will not be using them in a riding situation or for heavy riding. There is so much shedder on the material itself. My experience with suede is that this is some of the worst shedding I've experienced on a finished item. It's not horrible, but it is more of an annoyance than it is anything else. Though, I suppose when you are using them for their intended purpose, I don't think that matters.
This pair is hard to find because the Velcro is hard to find. The more I press, the better I am at it It's difficult to deal with long zippers. There's no getting around the fact that the closure on top is poorly made, as many have pointed out. It is always possible to glue it, which is what.
These were excellent for me at 5' 3" with muscles in my calves. I feel very comfortable in this chair.

A plastic loop near the top does not appear to be very durable. The second one broke after three uses after Amazon replaced it. My next purchase of this product will be something else. It is otherwise a good product, but due to one small low quality part, it appears not as good as it could be.
