What are the removal options for the straps?

It is not entirely accurate. They attach at the back and do not detach from the front, and have removable hooks on the back. The front (bust to crotch) is fully lined but the back is not. A fair amount of transparency is present in the fabric.

This is a poor quality product! Leotards by Bloch are usually our favorite, but we don't love this one

That's a poor quality photo! There is already a rip in the bra liner! My guess is that it was washed with a delicate cycle and dried with air!.

It fits great! My daughter is 5'6" and 110 pounds, so the medium fits her well. In addition to the nice quality, this is an excellent product.
