I ordered a large for my daughter, who is a size 6 in the United States. 7 womens. They are a good fit for her, so XL is the way to go.
I ordered a medium because I wear a size 8 sneaker. I think large would have been too big because the elastic band on the canvas is a little tight, but with more use it will probably stretch out to be perfect.
My daughter was in the second grade. When we purchased ours, we chose a medium and they fit perfectly, but there was little to no room for growth. They worked well for the season and did stretch a little, so she can still wear them now that she is a size 3 street shoe, but she won't be able to wear them if she grows any more.
I normally wear a size 8 or 9 in women's street shoes, and the XL is a little too big for me. There isn't enough room for me, so I wouldn't recommend it to you.

These are fantastic and perform exactly as they should. They arrived in excellent condition and in a timely manner. They're comfortable, according to my daughter, and they're also simple to put on. We ordered a small, and she comfortably fits into a women's size 5 (depending on the brand). If your child is small, you should definitely order a size up. br>br>The size chart below is taken from another website and can be useful when determining sizing. These shoes run true to size; my daughter wears a size 8 in women's shoes, so I ordered two pairs. I placed an order for a size 6 shoe. I'm a size 5 and ordered an 8-inch shoe. The 6- The 5-piece set was too small, but the 8-piece set was perfect. The number 5 is an excellent choice. They're also comfortable for her feet, she said.
These are a good dance shoe, but the sizes are off by a long shot. I'm a size 6 shoe. Because I'm a size 5, I went with the small, which is good for up to seven people. It was a smidgeon too small for my liking. It was so tight that it made my foot tingle after only a few minutes of wearing it. I went up a size and it's much more comfortable, but only for a size 6. 5 to require something in the size 9 range? The sizes aren't accurate at all. It's still a little uncomfortable where the binding wraps around the foot at this point, but I'm hoping that will improve as they break in. I'll give these a shot because they're not too bad.
I always think it's difficult to buy Capezio shoes because their sizing is so odd. br>br>I was aware that these were adult shoes, but I was purchasing them for my 7-year-old daughter (because this was the style her teacher requested and I couldn't find anything in children's sizes). br>br>For street shoes, my daughter is a size 13 in children's shoes. I debated between the small and the extra small, but ultimately decided on the small in the hopes of keeping them from being too big. br>br>It's a coin flip. I believe the extra small would have been better for her because the small is slightly loose on the sides, but I'm sure she would have outgrown them quickly if I had ordered the extra small. I believe that once she dances in them and her feet warm up, they will swell just enough to fit perfectly in the shoe. br>br>So, if you have a child who is in the age group of 10-year-old children's shoes, I'd go with the extra small in size 12br>Size 13- I'd order a small for the first time. br>br>Now that that's out of the way, I'm curious as to why Capezio labels these shoes as adult sizes. I'd have no idea what to order if I were ordering these for myself, especially since I'm a size 6. 5 shoe, I'd probably go with the small because my shoe size is on the smaller end of the women's shoe spectrum. However, if my 7-year-old is too big for the small, I'm sure he'll be disappointed. br>br>However, the overall quality of these is quite good. The leather on these appears to be thicker than the leather ballet shoes from the Capezio brand.
She wears a size 2 and I ordered a size 6 for her. They won't last long on her; she'll outgrow them quickly. I would have swapped them for a medium if we didn't need them on the day they arrived. The leather on the bottom appears to be sturdy and well-sewn in general. The elastic is thick and pleasant to wear. Overall, a fantastic shoe; however, the small sizing should be considered.
These are a little on the small side and a little on the narrow side. However, I was fortunate enough to be able to order multiple sizes and return the ones that didn't fit. My daughter's dance classes require them, so we have to order them frequently because they wear out after about 20 hours of use. If you have the option, half soles made of high-tech fabrics that contour to the foot better and last longer are available.
It appears to be of good craftsmanship! I'd never owned twylas before, but I needed tan shoes for a recital and was able to order these instead of spending money on expensive jazz shoes. Others in the studio have always used them, but I've never tried them myself. So, until I get a chance to try them on, I'll refrain from commenting on how they compare to regular jazz shoes. In general, it appears to be of excellent quality. With the suede-like bottoms, this is a nice heavy-duty canvas. I'm a size 8 sneaker, so I went with the Medium. They're a tad too snug. but. I'm confident they'll stretch. As a result, the fit appears to be ideal for when they do. I don't want these to slip out from under my feet!.
Order up! For lyrical/contemporary, these shoes are fantastic. However, in order to be comfortable, we had to go up a size. My dancer is a size 7 in shoes. She exchanged her size 5 street shoe (womens) for a size 1. Size up two sizes from the size chart. The toe box doesn't appear to get any bigger as you go up; instead, it's the band around the ball of her foot that made her uncomfortable. Even the larger size is snug and leaves a mark after use, so keep that in mind.
