There is a rope attached to the top and an elastic cord attached to the bottom of the cage. A loop knot is the most practicable way to shorten them.
The diameter of mine is around 9 inches. Quality leather is also a feature of this material.

Solid connections to the top and bottom ensure lasting strength. As I mentioned in my previous video, you have a fair amount of tension from the bungee cords, so your previous ones shouldn't pull out. More durable than its predecessor, this model will last for years to come. It is used to enhance the circuit training as well as other exercises. I cannot imagine something else replacing this equipment for years because everything I own wears in four weeks. The heavy bag, wrecking ball, vertical jump and so many others are what take me a while to break off every night.
I consider this to be a worthwhile purchase in its own right. The models have a better record, apart from the EverLast 1910 model. This one is much better (cloth and cords) than those from that company. A ball that's a decent match for this ball, but one that's probably cheaper today is EverLast 1910.
The product is loved by our grandson. We teach boxing 101 in our backyard as well.
