This product is well-made and durable, and I would strongly recommend it. When compared to other clamps, this one is a little pricey, but it's well worth it. In addition, the I- My basement's beam width ranges from 6 1/2 to 6 3/4 inches, so I bought the 7-inch one and it worked perfectly.
