The lag bolts I used are 6" long, and I mounted mine in the basement into the first floor joist (turned on end). A piece of wood that is 1" thick is too thin for this application.
There are wood screws included in the package. You would probably need to drill a 5/16 inch pilot hole, so I think you could secure the anchor solidly to concrete with 5/16 inch sleeve anchors from a hardware store. Using concrete anchors instead of concrete screws makes more sense to me, since screws usually come loose in time. In order to drill the sleeves' holes for sleeve anchors, you'd need a 5/16 inch carbide drill bit. It would be easier to do the job with a hammer drill
Occasionally, I catch my kids climbing and hanging from the bag adding an additional 70 pounds to it, so I think it should be able to
It's been a while since I previewed The pilot hole just needs to be smaller than the part of the screw that bites into the wood to be effective. I drilled mine and hung it, and I think 1/4" to 7/32" would work fine.

Having read a lot of negative reports on other brand hangers, I ultimately settled on this particular item after an hour of research. This design is built to last, and right out of the box it is ready for installation for bags hanging from wood beams. Using a pen or marker, mark the drilling spots on the ceiling where the bolt holes are on the hanger, drill two holes, and then attach with the two threaded bolts and washers that come with the product. The entire installation took approximately ten minutes. all, there's nothing else to do! This product is extremely easy to install and heavy duty, designed in a way that requires minimal skills and tools to install. In addition to a ladder and a drill for drilling holes, you'll also need a socket wrench to install bolts or screws. To avoid drilling through the bolt, be sure to use a bit that is smaller than the bolt's width. Having a product that is easy to install and a product that works is great for me. The installation is perfect, and this baby doesn't seem to be going anywhere! Your weight bag is ready to use just by attaching it to a hanger clip. Here's the bonus This bag comes with an additional carabiner clip which can become a double clip on top of your bag or function as a weight attachment on the bottom of your bag. I am pleased with this.
It is best to use sockets that are 11/16 or 17mm in size. Before you begin installing, make certain you have those components as well as a ratchet driver. Help comes in the form of a second pair of hands. I just installed this hanger this morning and it took me about 30 minutes. My primary goal was to drill thick ceiling joists and use gigantic screws. Therefore I purchased an impact driver, because I knew I would need to drill through thick surfaces. After marking where I wanted the bag, I drilled two pilot holes and then used the impact driver to drive the screws As the minimum socket width was too narrow, I could only push the screws in about 3/4th of the way, so I used a 3/8" ratchet and a 17mm socket for the remainder. A manual or instructions are not included with the product. It is important to note that you will have to disassemble it completely in order to mount the bracket first. Once you have mounted the bracket, the hanger can be assembled by threading the bolt through the black spacers and through the hanging link. As a whole, I'm satisfied with this product and I don't fear any issues that it may have. It seems solid and I don't anticipate any problems at all.
I've been searching for ways to train at home, and this seemed like the perfect solution for me. The bracket was attached to a support beam by securing a wood piece crossways. My dad and I hung this on a sloped ceiling. The bag holds a 40-pound bag that I use to hit and kick. It took some time to choose the best location for the installation, but it only took a few minutes to complete. It has been up for about a week and I've used it everyday without a problem. It swings a lot, which is exactly what I wanted, but a little extra motion does not affect the stability of the bracket. There is also a clip in the package that isn't used but I found out later it was nice nonetheless. As for the 40lb bag, I can't properly test it out with a 100lb or heavier bag, but so far I am very satisfied with it.
The wall mount was easy to install, and when opened, I was surprised at how well-made it An 8 year old kicks all day long, so I set this up for him. I received it on time and all moving parts were present! It was a great buy since it was a great price, and I was glad I checked around before just buying what I originally wanted.
The 100 Pound bag is the one I am using I don't mind at all. As with the lag bolts, I sank the lag bolts with a socket wrench after drilling pilot holes in the 2x8" first - though I had to sink them with a socket wrench because the wood was so hard. I'm not a rocket scientist - but this is solid Despite the fact that I forgot to add one washer and my first bolt didn't sink perfectly, I didn't feel any sway or give as I hit the.
There was a problem with the screw. I fkn broke it when I tried to screw in the bolt. Is it large enough to fit a bag? Amazon needs to be cleaned up from this garbage. The pile of garbage you've become has become larger and larger.
Located it on a concrete ceiling and attached it with a bolt. Everything appears to be working properly.
used this as a warehouse. System of pulleys for the triceps muscle. As a result of my overhead storage (due to powerlifting racks), I do not have space for a Heavy Bag, but I do have room enough for a Powerlifting Rack. As for the pulley, I found an unobstructed beam in my garage to mount the Spud pulley on the Rogue Monster Lite (which is too short to mount the Spud pulley). Assuming this thing works (along with the integrity of the bolts), anything I do for triceps (don't trust for stacked lat pull-ups- on any level-- will work as well The downs) should be a good fit. To mount the pulley, I removed the swiveling bracket altogether, so that the Spud straps would lay flush against the smooth plastic insert. I did a few test reps & it seemed to work. I was very happy with how quiet it was and how smooth it was This felt like it would last for quite some time.
