Questions & Answers
Yes, this rubber-stopped wall ceiling mount hook works in both wood and concrete.
Hello there, the size of our punching bag bracket is 7. 1 X 1. Because the stud used to hang it must be at least 6 inches in length, it cannot be any smaller.
Our heavy-duty bag hanger can be used on both wood and concrete. It's best to use it with a stopper if you're going to use it in concrete. You can take out the stopper if it's used for wood.
100%, that is a great idea to be honest. I will consider doing this by myself.

The mount came with four woodscrews and four cement or drywall expansion anchors. You'll need to drill pilot holes; to get the screws through, I had to use a 1/4-inch drill. To tighten the screws, you'll also need a socket wrench. The moving parts have convenient plastic spacers to prevent metal-on-metal grinding, and the pin assembly eliminates the need for a separate clip/carabiner. If your bag needs to hang a little higher, this is the way to go.
Too small of a hook The original hardware I used to hang my Everlast heavy bag had broken off at the ceiling, so I bought this to replace it. Although this hardware claims to be able to support up to 600 pounds, it does not appear to be particularly robust. However, it is effective! The setup was simple, and the dual pivot points relieved the hardware of stress. My only criticism is that the hook is too small to hang the bag loops directly. To connect the bag to the hook, I had to rig a short piece of climbing rope.
I used it to hang a 100-pound heavy bag from a joist in my basement, and it's still hanging after a few hard roundhouse kicks. To reduce the shake on the floor above, I added a spring between the bag chains and the bracket. It's very simple to put together, just a few screws and it's done; the most difficult part is lifting the bag to hang it.
It's worth noting that she's quiet and articulate.
I purchased a 2x6 board and non-predrilling wood screws in the size of 5in. br>To mount the 2x6 to a wooden beam on the ceiling, I used 10 of the long screws (5 on each side). Two of the included screws for the hardware, as well as two of the longer screws I purchased. It's hung with a 100-pound bag. There is no movement in the hardware or on the beam due to the spring. This product has exceeded my expectations.
The only way to find out is to wait. The bracket appears to be of good quality; however, there are plastic pieces rather than all metal, and I managed to strip the head of one of the low-quality lag bolts included and completely break another.
It's relatively easy to set up. The spring is very effective at absorbing shock. I was concerned about installing on a wood I beam, but it went off without a hitch, and there was no sagging or damage to the beam (note- To reduce the amount of stress on the beam, I stayed close to the wall).
This is fantastic. Strength training and trapeze are two of my favorite things to do with it. We're 170 and 180 pounds, respectively, and we're in great shape.
