I just read some other reviews where the two top nuts backed out. The two nuts on mine were spot welded when I got it. So that won't be an issue because they can't move unless the welds fail. Behind the dry wall ceiling, mounted to a stud in the top of the garage. Due to mounting at the corner of an a-frame, I used one of the kit's lag screws and a longer 5" lag I had on hand. frame. I believe, however, that the original screw could have worked as well. However, I needed lag to get through (2) 2x4s. Your lags should go in easily if you pre-drill them. When we hit the bag, there should be no vibration. Mount is also as quiet as it possibly can be.
This worked for about four months, until the screw broke free from the nuts and the bag collapsed. My sons use this bag on a daily basis, so it had a lot of use before it fell apart. The hardware didn't break on its own. It's just that the screw came unscrewed due to a flaw in the design. So, either we'll rehang the bag with the same hardware and hope it doesn't happen again, or we'll look for hardware that won't back out of the nuts.
So far, everything has gone well. This is what I've been doing with a 90-pounder. bag to punch The bearing swivel has a strong and quiet bearing swivel. Because my ceiling height was limited and the spring was 6 inches long, I decided not to use it.
Muy bueno.
It worked well as a swing chair; however, when you swing it, it has a funky twist; however, it is sturdy and functional.
The bearing came loose, causing a loud shifting noise. I thought it would be a simple fix, but the nuts were welded shut, and the bolt snapped. I'd be happy with one that didn't have welded bolts.
