It's still stiff, but it's gotten a little softer. It's quite stiff at first, but after about 5 years of use, it gradually softens, which is better for your knuckles. The handles will wear out faster, but they are canvas and will last the entire life of the pad; they will simply become visibly worn.
There is only one kick shield.
The Revgear Kick Shield was our very first product. It's a little thicker this time. Our Economy shield is less curved and more versatile than this one.

If you enjoy kicking things around, these will hold up well. Sure, you can blow the stuffing out of them (the thread simply opens up and you can re-stuff them). They must be closed. A solid foam pad is inside, surrounded by a vapor barrier made of plastic. With some needle and thread, they can be repaired quickly. I used them to work out at school and at home. They are effective.
It's of good quality and holds up well over time. A friend of mine bought one of these a few years ago, and it has withstood all of our abuse without ripping the stitching or ripping a hole in it. Because I was so impressed with the quality, I decided to purchase one. It's a well-made product that does its job (take a beating).
I practice Krav Maga and have a Kick Shield that I use at home to practice. Professionally produced.
It'll take some time to break in, but man, it's awesome. This little one is absolutely stunning. br>br>I like how it has handles on both sides as well as on the bottom. It's fantastic for practicing a variety of skills.
This Kick Shield does an excellent job of protecting the user during kick training sessions while also allowing the trainee to unleash full-power kicks.
Martial artists who are skilled. Excellent item - I've only recently begun to use it, but I've been using it for quite some time. I've been a martial artist for over 20 years and am familiar with my training equipment. The seams are sturdy, and the padding is thick and durable enough to withstand professional use. Experience has an impact. At this time, the material also appears to be durable.
This is a high-quality product that has proven to be both well-made and long-lasting. Front kicks, side kicks, thrust kicks, and knees are some of the moves I use it for. When it's new, it's stiff, which is a good thing because it means it's well-made and built to withstand abuse. There are four of us who use it in training, and we're all big guys. It is used for an hour and a half. For several months, I've been exercising three times per week. It appears to be in good condition. In my opinion, it is worth the money.
Kick protection is maximized thanks to the interior's dense foam. This shield comes highly recommended by our family of martial artists.
