As far as I am aware, this is the first mouthguard I have ever When I went on Amazon, looking for recommendations on mouthguards to use while BJJ, I picked up the next gen. Apparently this piece is a little more expensive than some others, but I am in love with it so far. Inflate it with hot water for a minute, fold it over your teeth and rinse it with cold water. After trying a few times, I finally got the molding just right, and I then made a few more minor alterations to get rid of the You can drop it in the water and it magically flattens out back to its original shape, or you can dip a specific part in to remold it a little. I love it! As long as I have a wide mouth nalgene, I can drink from it just fine, I can breathe just fine, and I am able to communicate with my training partners for the most part, although it isn't perfect. I am happy to recommend this guard as a BJJ guard. While I haven't taken any large impacts yet, I am hopeful that when I do, this bad boy won't let me down.
