The base does, in fact, rotate 180 degrees. This chair is extremely low-cost. It's perfect for our needs, and it's a 20-year-old goat boat at that.

Is it possible to remove the foam from the cushions by using zippers?

No, but it's been a fantastic seat for the past three years.

Is the fixed-pedestal wise pilot chair swivel-able?

Our Chair was a big hit with us. It was also a lot cheaper than a local boat shop.

It has a 15-year warranty. Can the seat be used to spot bait fish in the waters if the feet are fixed to the pedestal? Is it strong enough to support a net? lol?

From the seat, I never attempted to cast a net. It's on the flybridge with me. I appear to be in good shape. It is a decently priced chair.

The pedestal's base has a coarse brushed finish

The pedestal is made of polished aluminum, according to the manufacturer. The vertical post is a lovely smooth polished aluminum, but the base is a coarse rough brushed finish. I'm still trying to figure out how to make the current finish better. Aside from the base, the seat package is excellent.

Seats are comfortable

These are some of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. The vinyl is attractive, and the pedestals are well-made. Although the plastic appears to be of poor quality, it could be much worse. They're a little small for me (I'm 6' 2" and weigh 200 pounds), but they're quite comfortable and look great in my boat. When my wife drives the boat, she can slide the seat forward to reach the controls, and when I get back in the seat, I can slide it back to where I like it. br>br>For the price, this is a fantastic buy!.
