I'm extremely dissatisfied with the carelessness with which these paddles were created. The wood is already splintering, and I'd say the tape looks like it was applied by a kindergartner, but that would be disrespectful to kindergartners. Franklin was supposed to be a respectable brand, right?.
They aren't professional-grade, but for the purposes of the above description, they don't need to be. just fun.
The bumpy pattern can be found on both sides of the paddle. But, hey, it was only ten bucks for three one-star balls and two paddles, so I can't really complain. I'm a decent ping pong player who isn't overly concerned with the game, so all I needed were some paddles. If you're looking for a fancy paddle for serious play, this isn't the paddle for you.
They've been a lot of fun to use, and for the price, I'm glad I got them (2 rackets, 2 balls, excellent value!) I do have two concerns about the rackets: 1. br>br> There isn't much cushioning. Because the ball simply bounces off the wood, this limits control. You can regulate the game's speed by adding more padding. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The tape that holds the padding in place is prone to coming undone. When I see the edges of the tape falling off, I find myself securing it several times. Overall, if you're just looking to have a good time at a party or don't plan on playing very often, these will suffice; however, if you plan on playing more frequently, I would recommend investing in a higher-quality pair.
I bought these with the intention of hurling my frustrations at them, but I was pleasantly surprised by how long they lasted. The first two I bought lasted an impressive three weeks before one was broken by my knee and the other succumbed to abuse such as being slammed on the table, thrown against the wall, and generally abused. I reordered a second set in the hopes of getting more use out of them. They also function reasonably well and make amusing noises when they strike the ball, but adding spin is impossible with the material they used. You get what you pay for, which is ideal for beginners and those who are easily irritated.
The paddle's surface was not properly glued, and the rubber grip has bubbles, resulting in an uneven surface. The sides are also easily separating, indicating that this paddle will not last long. However, it is the cheapest option and is playable in some ways, so it receives two stars.
They're not bad FOR THE MONEY, but that's all. These paddles aren't recommended for beginners, but if you only have ten dollars and a strong desire to play a game, go for it. However, I recommend putting money aside for a better, pimple-free product. less bat.
They are extremely effective and long-lasting. Before you buy one of these, keep in mind that it is the most basic paddle available. They're ideal for people looking for a cheap paddle to use every now and then, or if you're trying to play on any non-flat surface. These paddles are not for you if you have a high temperture level.
