To begin, let me say that I am a player of an intermediate level. It is my shot style to spin heavily and hit hard. It is the 3-D design that convinced me to purchase these balls After a few rallies, I found that the Eastpoint (orange) balls I was using were too thin and airy. In order to keep my shots on the table, I felt like I had to hit the ball with more spin than power. However, even with my heavy style of shooting, I often felt that the ball would lose momentum and make returns easier than they should have been. My experience as soon as I began smacking with the Butterfly balls changed the entire game. In the future, I will be able to hit with precision and carry the power I intend with my shots. I was able to maximize my power and spin when the ball hit the table, as it no longer decelerated when it hit. It is not uncommon to find that when shots miss the table but have heavy spin, the ball will frequently spin around. The ability of the balls to carry momentum through the point, regardless of whether they are hit with finesse or power, is a major testament to their performance. I believe the weight is on target, and I feel the balls are more durable than any I could find at a lower price. For the price, I would rate them higher, as this is one of the best sets I've ever played with at an inexpensive price! I will definitely buy this product again, if this set ever breaks!.
I bought this as my hobby level table tennis grew into a club level hobby. The following thoughts come to mind The price of this ball is only a fraction of that of Nittaku 3 star, and it is perfect for beginners looking for a ball. There is a smooth texture to the ball, unlike the slightly grainy texture that is common with balls of 40+ I'm not sure how this affects gameplay, but it responds like a dream to looping, short pushes, and flicks. A bounce - A very high level of consistency!.
They are nuts that all 3 stars are the same. I felt as though I had lost some of my game when playing with other brands. The trash balls turned out to be nothing but trash. With these, it was easy to get the spin back and the bite on the table made a difference.
When you move from "playing for fun" to "a more competitive game," it will take a little while to adjust. In the meantime, you'd be wasting your time playing with non-balls after using this ball for a while The balls are of the highest quality. It is impossible to compare the speed and clarity of the shots. Playing these balls changed our game a lot since we started using them. There are five of us in our group.
Medium weight and excellent bounce make these balls the perfect choice for any sports enthusiast. I love their spin and you can smash the hell out of them as well. Different types of paddles can be used with the new plastic material. The first month after receiving them, we have used the balls for recreational play every day and have been very pleased with their performance.
It is impressive how much spinning you can get with them, and they also last a long time. Playing about 6 games a day, 5 days a week, has lasted me about 2 months using one ball.
There are a few things, besides the celluloid ball, that are comparable to the balls that these replace. It hasn't broken yet, and these German made Butterfly balls don't seem to have any issues with not being perfectly round or bouncing with a dubious effect.
Since I have had these balls for more than 5 months and have been using them, no balls have cracked. It seems to last less than the butterfly ones. I've purchased nittaku balls and am finding that they are not lasting as long as they used to. You can count on me buying them again in the future.
