It is an Innova, according to the description. The Champion Disks DX Teebird isn't made of Champion type plastic, which is a bit misleading. It's made of DX plastic, which degrades quickly when it comes into contact with trees or rocks (both of which are abundant in the Arizona desert). It's a nice disk that flies fairly straight and long, aside from the misleading description.
It has a good range, fades nicely, and lands exactly where I want it to. The disc itself is appealing to the eye and enjoyable to throw. It's made of a less durable plastic (DX), so it won't last long, but if you're looking for a low-cost investment, a disc to try out, or simply something that will give you more distance than a mid, this is a disc to think about!.
It flies fairly straight with a slight tail at the end if you release it flat. I have noticed that if it begins with a slight right or left curve, it will continue to curve and will not fade back. However, this is due to the fact that I do not always release it flat. It only goes about 250 feet, but I'm in my late 60s, so I'm fine with that.
These are the straightest flying discs I've tried, but they have a narrow rim, so if that bothers you, try the Dynamic Disc Escape, which has a wider rim. There's nothing wrong with them; I just prefer the wider rim because it's easier for a beginner to control.
I'd say it's a friendly beginner driver because it flies well and is easy to grip. It can fly a long distance with good form if you throw it with a little force. br>br>This version is well worth the money, and it's a lot easier to throw than the faster discs. br>br>The color of ours was light blue.
The Teebird is an excellent all-around disc for all types of players. This is something I use on a regular basis on the course. Although the DX plastic is excellent in terms of performance and cost, it is susceptible to tree damage when compared to other plastics. In addition, if you're concerned about disc color, Amazon's disc color is random. However, I prefer to shop on Amazon because of the low prices and free Prime shipping.
It's a good disc for a good price, but they insist on sending a different color than what's shown, which I understand I was warned about, but it actually makes things worse because I'm expected to accept it. The only reason I didn't return it was because it wasn't a color that was easily misplaced, but that could have easily happened. My preference for a driver is based on color. Losing discs is a pain. Please make the necessary changes.
The disc delivers exactly what it promises. The DX plastic will quickly become chewed up, so be cautious or invest in a more durable version.
