Questions & Answers
It doesn't actually adhere to the wall in any way. It's a thick foam that wraps around the board tightly. I hope that my explanation has been of assistance.
To begin with, the darts should not be striking the wall. Its purpose is to protect your wall from darts that do not hit the board; darts thrown normally will not pass through it. Note that if you miss the protector and it hits your wall, you will lose a life.
This dart board is compatible with the Viper Shot King dart board.
Your dartboard would be mounted on the wall, and the would be attached to it. This is a foam sculpture.

Instead of the advertised 18", the size was increased to 75". This Viper Defender II was purchased to go with my 18" dartboard that I also purchased. The Defender II boasts an 18" dartboard (which is also printed on the box), but the actual size is 17. Apart from the small gap (which was the worst of the four joints in my photo), I am pleased with the Defender and its ability to protect my wall.
Easy to install, but you'll need the included foam trim tape to avoid a gap between the foam and your board. I didn't want the logos to show, so I installed the pieces backwards. It provides excellent protection for my surrounding wall while also being unobtrusive in appearance.
When I took it out of the box, I noticed that the inside diameter was oversized and that it was falling off. This is a complete joke. The foam inside, on the other hand, is ideal for a dart board, so I used only the foam and made my own dart board surround out of foam strips, leftover burgundy felt cloth from when I covered my pool table, cherry finished corner moulding that I cut to size, and rubber cement. So I turned this piece of trash into a custom framed surround that now hangs in my billiards room and perfectly complements the pool table.
br>I believe it was made for a 17-year-old. Dartboard with a 75" diameter.
Thick shielding. To fit it into my cabinet, I had to cut the outside down to a 24" square. So, if you don't want to use a cabinet, just mount your board against the wall. The Defender will be held in place by the dartboard itself. It also adds to the overall aesthetic appeal of the board.
The surround went on perfectly around a regulation board in my new dart area, which I built in my man cave. We have very competitive dart games amongst friends, but I needed this so that my children, ages 9 and 10, could play on it as well.
This is a fantastic addition to your outfit. Because my children enjoy playing with their friends, I bought two of these to protect the wall around them. It's of excellent quality, but it's far too expensive- I got the board for a lot less money.
It's the perfect size for my room and board. It was simple to put together, there were no holes, and it perfectly fit my board (with the addition of a strip). This is the solution for you if you want a quick fix that doesn't require any drilling and simply fits over your existing space.
