Ink does have to be scrubbed out, so you have to use scrubbing power. Whenever I use them at bingo, I always come home with color on my fingers no matter how careful I am. My opinion is that children between 4 and 6 are a little young or that they should be overseen closely. Your walls, themselves, and anything else they can get their hands on would be covered with it. If you were to take that off a table or wall, I don't know how it would come off.
In my experience, I don't laminate my cards, because I think the daubers would smear on anything that is laminated, and the ink would get all over everything. If you do laminate the cards, you should cover the numbers with something to keep them from showing through. In my opinion, the colors aren't as "mixed" as I would have liked, as all the "reds" look about the same on standard white card stock paper and colored construction paper. They have been enjoying these paint daubers for a week now. I mostly bought them for my students in the three year old class. However, they do come off after a nice bath or shower, so they aren't as washable as I would like them to be. I've got a bunch of these that my kids love! This image has nice colors and a nice design They are bright and show up well on most papers.
