They aren't at all. I usually wear a size 9, but after hearing that they run a little large, I ordered an 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly; I really like these bowling shoes. irene
I'd go down a half size because they're a little big on me and I have to wear thicker socks.
Yes, I ordered a size 7 1/2, which is my normal size, and they are comfortable to wear with my socks.

A fashionable and adorable bowling shoe. The Brunswick Karma bowling shoe was a great purchase for me. My foot is quite wide. It's a running gag in my family because there was only one store in the 1970s and 1980s that sold shoes for chubby feet like mine. I'm getting off track here. I'm not sure why, but I didn't go down a size, despite the fact that I was considering a 9 or 9. I went ahead and stuck with a solid 9 instead of a 5 (due to my foot's width). I'm glad I did. br>br>It was a good decision. These are ideal for my swollen feet, and they go with leggings, capris, skirts, and jeans alike. It was a nice slide, and it made me feel more confident. I'll keep you up to date as needed. br>br>Thank you for your time, Brunswick.
I like the color scheme of this smart-looking dark gray and white trimmed shoe, but they were incredibly tight around the toe area and extremely uncomfortable right out of the box. The narrowed toe box has been mentioned in other reviews, and it is true. I expected it to be a little tight around my toes, but they were too compressed to ever get into the comfortable range, which is what you hope for when you buy new shoes. That wasn't the worst part, but the way the top edge of the heel area cut into my heel was the worst. After about 30 feet of walking in them, I noticed a flaming red indentation on my tendon area above the heel. I'm a 7-year-old girl who likes to dress up. 1/2 and bought that size; they're cute and light, but they'll have to be returned.
The shoes have thin felt and the rubber hangs over the toe, making it difficult to slide; they also have a flaw in the bridge, where the rubber hangs down too much, making it difficult to slide; comfortable but not loving them. I ended up spending an additional $13 on a sleeve to help with the sliding, but I wouldn't buy them again.
I appreciated all of the sizing advice and wanted to add/confirm that if you are a medium or narrow width, you should go down a 1/2 size. If you have wide feet, you should probably go up a size; I'm a size 7 medium, and I went with the 6. It fits me perfectly at size 5 M. I haven't tried these yet, so I can't comment on the sliding ability, but I'm confident it will work for me.
The shoes are fantastic, and the delivery was quick! I usually wear a size 9w, but I went with a size 8. They're number five, and they're just right! They're very comfortable and have a nice wide toe area. The shoe has a great look to it. On a daily basis, I wear boat shoes, so when I saw these, I was ecstatic! My purchase was a great success.
It's both adorable and cozy. However, they have a tendency to run large. To keep them from slipping, I have to tie them tightly. They fit perfectly at first, but after a few wears, they stretched out a little. They come highly recommended from me. I have wide feet, so I recommend going down a half-size.
I don't get the feeling that the shoe is "secure. " The lace ends in the middle of the shoe. However, it's possible that's the style. The tip or toe portion of the shoe, however, is a little narrow for my feet, but everything else fits perfectly. Unfortunately, I only wore these shoes three times, and one of them had the bottom slide material come off. The shoes are attractive and fashionable, but I would spend more money in the future on higher-quality items.
I recently joined a work bowling team and needed a new pair of shoes. They're extremely comfortable, light, and go with just about anything. If you want comfortable bowling shoes that don't look like clown shoes, these are the ones to get.
